Not too happy right now with this awning. It worked good before it broke. The two extension ends broke, the ends are needed to complete the rigid frame. It's tough to replace the end pieces because they are glued in. UPDATE 9/28/18 Talked with seller and they were prompt to send me a replacement. Everything is all good.

It is way cheaper than the other options. I was hesitant to buy, but after installing and using it was the correct choice for my usage. It works pretty well. I do not like the mounting hardware, BUT at least it comes with some unlike the more costly version.

I wanted an awning that was affordable but obviously not poor in construction. I looked around and took a chance on the Yescom awning having price drive most of my decision. I read the reviews and saw that it was a little flimsy. I bought the unit and found that it was actually packaged well and there was no damage. Installation was pretty straight forward and it fit my overland setup well. I did have some issues with the stitching of the fabric so I notified the company. They were actually very understanding and surprisingly very helpful. Communication was a bit slow but I realized it was probably due to the ongoing pandemic. They offered a few options to help me out and pacified my issues. I will say that I was very happy with their customer service. I know this awning is on the lower side of cost, and you will probably encounter some issues, but set it up and look it over, and let them know if you have problems. And just so you know, this awning withstood wind and breezes in excess of 40 mph! Pay attention to how you set it up and you will be very presently supprised!

I added this to my tiny camper and headed off for a camper rally. Luckily my neighbor had the same awning and he and his wife came over to help me set it up and take it down. The weight of the rain did bend one of the cross bars some, even though I had that corner lowered to allow the water to run off. It did work at helping to give some shelter from the rain. The two nuts that have to be placed to hold the bar at each of the two connection points is extreamly difficult to put on and balance the rest of the awning without extra hands to help. Not to mention dropping the nuts and searching for them. I did buy from the hardware store extra metric size nuts for just a situation. The neighbor on the otherside had a much more expensive awning, but it had a rubber type tip that just snugged into the adjoining piece and was MUCH easier to set up and take down, even for one worman. I wonder if I can find a rubber part to fit over the bolt and snug into the place without all the nuts?? Price sure was great though.

This appeared to be a nice quality awning. It it broke the first time we used it in the wind. The aluminum poles are so thin that the bolts securing them to the base easily rip out of the poles making the whole system unusable. The plastic portion that connects the tubes to the front of the awning also snap very easily. I repaired it after the first break by shortening the pole, drilling a new hole and gluing in the plastic portion. The second time we used it it broke catastrophically and will require all new poles and probably a part of the base as well. Do not buy this and expect to be able to use it with any wind. Seriously, this can handle very very little wind. This is unacceptable for something that is deemed for use outside. The tubes should have a thicker wall or at the bare minimum be reinforced at the points where the bolts pass through.

Since I did not have a rail opening to install to I had to mount to my Racks. I drilled 4 holes to mount the mounting brackets but over all the fit is good.

overall, installation was fairly simple and straightforward. it doesn't really specify the orientation of the zipper so, i installed it with the zipper at the bottom and it was right so, no having to redo it. the only thing that wasn't dead apparent was the side poles and the instructions, at first seemed like they didn't touch on them. so, i kept looking for the side poles as a separate piece and didn't realize they were folded up into the housing mounted on the car. on a side note, i didn't see this advertised anywhere as being waterproof. about 3 minutes after i got it set up, we were hit with a pretty decent downpour. i went out to check on it afterwords and although there was a nice sized pool in the center, there were no leaks at all in the canvas. so, i guess the waterproof is a nice bonus! i haven't had it installed long enough to see how it holds up heading down the highway yet but, from an initial standpoint, this seems like a fairly solid buy.
