This was my second attempt at buying a mother of the bride dress. The first ended up being too formal for the wedding style so I tried this. Im a bustier 5’6” 154 lbs so I ordered the large and its a great fit- not too tight that you can see every nook’n-cranny, but not too loose either. The wrinkles are weird and troublesome because of the polyester fabric but based on another reviewers recommendation i will have it pressed at a dry cleaners to get them removed. The dress is oddly boring when on (might be because the pink is about the same color as my skin!) but leaves room to accessorise. Ill be wearing a corsage and will take another reviewer’s advice and go for a brooch at the top of the waist-to-floor ruffle. With these additions I think its really going to be perfect. I love this dress!! I had a family wedding to attend earlier this year. Unfortunately I had been on vacation in Mexico the week prior and got a terrible Sun/wind burn on my legs. No amount of exfoliating or lotion after an entire week went by worked so I wasn’t able to wear the dress I had planned on because it was above the knee. Out of desperation, I ordered this dress late in the evening before the wedding with next day delivery. Much to my surprise and amazement, the dress fit like it was made for me. It was so flattering. I am 5’6” and weigh 135 lbs. I purchased a large because I don’t like tight clothing. Look at picture and zoom in, there are three weird pleats. I am 5’4” (170ish lbs) and ONE pleat was at my nipple, the right pleat was lower than the left pleat so it was not at my nipple (not even close) so not only was it weird -they didn’t line up. I might have been ok with it if it was even at the nipple on both sides but it wasn’t. And I really don’t want it looking like I have headlights at my nieces wedding! So be sure to look at those pleats, the other dresses like this do not have pleats. I think it is poor design and poor workmanship. I circled the pleat that aligned at my nipple. 😳 If you can accept the pleats, the material is thick enough and it stretches. I’m sending it back. I’m going to order the same dress from another seller/designer without the pleats! ... show more

I bought this after looking at multiple mother of the bride dresses that screamed too matronly at me. I wanted to look nice, but not matronly if that makes sense. I had recently lost a bunch of weight too and was still struggling being comfortable with my smaller shape. So I ordered an XL. I received it and immediately loved the color, the flexibility, literally everything! By the time the wedding came around, I needed to add some boobs ( I just bought a nice padded bra 🤣) and really needed a smaller size. Needed something for a wedding and didn’t want to spend a lot of money, but wanted to look good. I felt good in the dress, and I received a lot of compliments. It was simple, but elegant. I do not have a slim waist, however the dress was flattering.

All the reviews are true. Wear this dress, and you'll get a ton of compliments. It was comfortable, looked great, and was just about the perfect wife of the father of the bride dress. I needed something that fit amazingly well, floor length, nice enough that I looked like I belonged with the father of the bride, but not so fancy I looked like I was trying to upstage more important people. This dress fit the bill nicely. My biggest headache with the dress was getting the creases from shipping out of it. I tried hanging it to let them fall out (it hung for two months and still had creases), getting it wet and hanging to dry, washing and drying on permanent press (it held up to that great, but it didn't fix the creases), and ironing on my iron's synthetic setting. I finally gave up the day before the wedding and took it to a dry cleaner - they worked some magic and get the wrinkles out of the dress. Another annoyance I had with the dress that I didn't see mentioned in other reviews is that it did not stay put. I lost count of how many times I had to adjust it over the course of the evening. It didn't really ride up, but it kept twisting so that the right side seam was about 4-6 inches rotated toward the front of the dress. It still looked okay from the front, but the center seam down the back looked weird curving off the right. So I had to keep grabbing both side seams and yanking it back around into the proper position. Thankfully it was an adjustment that was quick and not one I needed privacy for, but it would have been nice to not have to keep doing that! The fit was pretty much as I expected. I ordered a small and medium and ended up choosing the medium. It is form-fitting and stretches over your hips. The small was just a little too tight over my hips, but fit my top half better. The medium for nicely in the hips and was a little large up top, but not bad. The arm holes were a little big at the underarm, so my bra peeked out just the tiniest bit, but was barely noticeable with the nude color bra. I wore 2.5 inch heels and the dress was for length but not dragging on the ground. The slit came to mid thigh and did not at all feel inappropriate, especially with the ruffle covering the top of it. I wore Spanx shorts underneath, and only about half an inch peaked out at the top of the slit if you looked for it under the ruffle. I'm 5'7"and 133 pounds, 34C. I had some trouble figuring out how to accessorize this dress, but I found that a fancy pin at the top of the ruffle really added some interest and took the dress up a level.
