    • Nice quality light and good value, but know install options

I've installed several of these integrate LED strip lights over the years, and this one (24" model) is one of the better ones. The steel frame is solid, the light plenty bright, and the ability to choose the color a great feature. My wife strongly prefers warm LED light, and it was surprising how few strip lights out there offer this (most are bright white/daylight). This unit offers a nice warm white option. Here is some install info that I had trouble finding but others might find useful: - 5 knockouts are provided around the surrounding edge of the unit - 1 on each end and 3 on the back - but there are no knockouts underneath (i.e., on the mounting side), so you cannot conceal the wires by directly installing on a standard 4" octagonal/ceiling (or other) electrical box without some kind of mod (e.g., drilling holes). This means it might not have a clean, finished look in some installations, as the incoming conduit/wires will be exposed. - the knockouts are not standard (US) size but smaller; the unit did come with one clamp connector that fits, so don't lose it!. Being smaller, it is a bit tight to fit 3 12ga. wires through, but it can be done. - the unit comes with plastic anchors and screws, but the screws I received are not what is pictured - mine were way too short and so would not expand the anchors to, well, anchor them in the sheetrock. I just used a couple appropriately-sized screws from my life-long collection instead. - the mounting holes are almost exactly 17" apart (which luckily happened to align perfectly with an earlier LED strip light I had installed) but are T-shaped and so provide some room for adjustment. ... show more

Easy installation. We have a glass tile backsplash and wanted a high quality under counter solution for 12 kitchen cabinets with an additional side bar. The product came ready to install and are easily daisy chained from one cabinet to another with a simple connection to a compatible dimmer switch we purchased at our local hardware store. The 5 way switch allows us to choose between a yellow to a very bight white that’s really brings out the color of the teal. We can dim them for a great nighttime lighting or crank them up when cooking. Only one wish, the company does not offer less than 12” we had two 12” cabinets at the bar and needed 8”. Great bright light with adjustable kelvin temp switch so you can adjust color hue from bright to a more mellow yellow similar to regular old incandescent light bulbs. The one issue is after adjusting the color when I went back to make it a little whiter and the slide switch that was protruding slightly was gone, fell into the unit. I do see a small crack in the end plate maybe it took a shot? Was going to buy 3 more to do the whole kitchen but now not sure. ... show more

Our under the desk fluorescent light was showing its age. Our handyman installed it. It can go wired or wireless. With the LED light you can adjust the warmth and brightness. So glad to have a functioning light again.

    • Good light but tough to wire

Installed 3 of these at this point. The light itself is great and I love the adjustability, brightness and overall quality of the fixture itself. The packaging is also top notch and if anything I would recommend the manufacture save money and go with worse packaging but hard to complain at this price. What was not good was installation. The internal wires are simply too short. If your romex is located opposite of the switch, you better have a lot of slack or be ready to lengthen it with more wire. The switch would be reversible so you could locate it on the right/left if they lengthened the output wire to allow it. The internal junction box isn't wide enough so romex entering from the back is a job to feed through. If you have pass-through where romex comes in and then needs to go back out, you will need to use an external junction box because there isn't enough room inside the fixture. The switch protrudes into the internal junction box on one side which makes using the two ports near it very difficult to wire. While I like the option of internal hidden screws for mounting, I would also have used an external option when seeing it doesn't matter for easier installation. ... show more
