I specifically like the way the 3072x1728 resolution holds up during fast motion; the 20fps keeps the playback fluid enough to identify a face or a license plate rather than just seeing a blur. It feels reliable in the hand with that metal IP67 housing, which gives me confidence it won't fog up after the first heavy rain. I dislike the mounting hardware included in the box. I would change the screw quality immediately because they felt soft and prone to stripping during the initial overhead install. It is a frustration that shouldn't exist on a pro-grade camera, and I back that up by saying you should have your own hardened screws ready before you climb the ladder. I also found the initial mobile app sync to be less than intuitive, requiring a few restarts before the handshake was successful. I recommend this camera for anyone who prioritizes image evidence over flashy software features. You are getting professional optics and a massive 512GB local storage capacity that justifies the investment for a serious security setup. The Amazon review scoring system, lets you know what customers and reviewers like and dislike about the product you are considering purchasing. There is a special kind of optimism involved in ordering an Anpviz camera. Not the bright-eyed kind — more the kind where you know exactly what you are walking into and do it anyway, like ordering the spicy dish that wrecked you last time because maybe this time will be different. Reader, it was not different. The hardware is genuinely good. The 5MP image quality is excellent for the price, the build feels solid and weatherproof, and the metal housing is not making any apologies for itself. On pure specs this camera holds its own against things that cost significantly more, which is what keeps drawing me back to this brand despite everything I know about what comes next. What comes next is the software, which feels like it was designed by engineers who have never been asked to actually use it. The app is either third party or white labeled and it shows — functional in the loosest sense, clumsy in practice, and missing enough basic features that you start to wonder what it is actually for. Getting into real configuration means going through the browser interface, which is surprisingly modern looking, right up until it asks you to install a plugin. In 2026. To view camera images. The plugin download helpfully redirects to a non-secure HTTP page serving a Windows executable, which is a fun experience on a Mac and also not exactly a confidence builder for a product whose entire purpose is security. Frigate integration worked immediately, as it usually does — standard URL structure, copied settings from another camera, changed the IP, done. But being able to pipe footage somewhere useful is not the same as being able to configure the camera properly, and I never quite got there. At some point the mojo to keep fighting with it just runs out, and that point arrived on schedule. Here is the thing though — if you have never used a Reolink or anything in that category, you might not even notice. If this is your first system and your bar is set by whatever came before it, you will probably get it running, shrug at the interface, and decide that is just how these things work. It is not. There are friendlier options out there for people who want plug and play and done. This is for people who are comfortable tinkering, do not mind a learning curve, and are judging it purely on what the hardware delivers at this price. On that basis it holds up. On every other basis, Anpviz remains Anpviz.

I’m really impressed with this camera for the price. The 5MP resolution is noticeably sharper than the older 1080p cameras I’ve used, and the wide field of view covers more area than I expected without looking distorted. The image quality during the day is crisp and detailed, and at night the smart color mode does a great job keeping things visible without excessive glare or grain. Installation was straightforward with PoE since it only requires a single cable for power and data, which keeps the setup clean and simple. The metal housing feels solid and well-built, not like some of the lighter plastic cameras out there. It gives confidence that it can handle outdoor conditions without any issues. The human and vehicle detection has been a big plus. It cuts down on random alerts from things like shadows or small movements, so notifications feel more relevant. The built-in microphone is also a nice touch for capturing audio along with video. Overall, this camera delivers strong performance, reliable functionality, and excellent build quality for the money. It’s a great value option if you want a dependable PoE security camera with clear video and smart features without overspending.
