The light switches to a multitude of colors and works well with the remote. It charges quickly and the magnet easily comes off the stem, and comes with several screws and adhesive patches to put the light on the wall however you choose. It is very simple to use, and the light is fairly bright. I was on the lookout for exactly a battery-operated light like this, and like this a lot! Well, it charges via USB-C and the battery is lithium and integrated. The backplate isn't just glueable but has two screw holes which I needed because I screwed it into my RV's walls and didn't trust glue. The light itself still detaches/attaches to and from the base via a magnet only, and after driving around, I can confirm that the magnet is strong enough for the light to not fall off its base. It has nice different modes - most importantly it is dimmable and has a red light, which is the light I was after because it preserves night vision. 5/5 worth it! ... show more

Major disappointment in light output. Not even as much light as a small flashlight, and its diffused, and has no throw. Form factor is good but could have been literally 1/4 of the size that it is. I bought magnets so I could have moved it around, ball socket allows it swivel and do direct and indirect, etc. Tries to make up for its shortcoming by having a lot of features like multiple colors, a little remote, which works well, but honestly I'd rather the controls were on board. Battery holds charge well. The adhesive sticks on and does not come off without decent enough force, which is good. Only one issue. When sticking the unit to the swivel ball the unit does not stay straight up. It eventually droops down. Not sure if it is an issue with the magnets. You can either screw the base into a wall or headboard or it comes with 2 super strong double sided stickies. I did the recommended charge for first two hours, after that I set it to max brightness a was solid for over 3 hours.
