The main issue I've had with the M1 MacBook Air has been the lack of I/O. I've tried nearly a dozen USB-C hubs and this is the first one that worked perfectly and has done so for over a month. It's designed to take some heat (even has a sticker that warns as such) and has not had any faults or drops in over a month of near-continuous use. So I've been using this product for some time and what I've learned it only heats up when supplying power to the laptop when Hdmi is connected you can't even feel the heat all I wish is this had different shades to match your laptop and I would not recommend using it while charing it since it could burn both ports but that's just an assumption of mines so yeah that's all over all very good product you should buy ... show more

I got a office computer, a Mac M1, 2020. I wanted to use it as is , but the screen is tiny 13.1 inches. I wanted to connect to my 32 inch monitor, a webcam and SD card. I was blown away how perfectly it fir my Mac M1. The engineering is amazingly precise. It just fit into the two USB-C slots on my M1 and it worked right off the bat! Added bonus is the color match and the new Anker appears just as extension of Mac. I used it for one week only. Hopefully it will last me lifetime ... show more

    • Just two problems
I love this product. It's awesome & does what I need it to do. It's good quality, and it works. Just one thing, though. A lot of the time, when I'm using it on my lap w my computer, and I move it just a bit, it unpluga very slightly. The bottom usb-c male is out of the socket ever so slightly. This then makes my lacie drive eject unsafely & it increases the chance of losing photos. The second one is the SD card reader. It's pretty picky. I have to blow on the SD card & the ankor, then really shove the SD card in for it to work. It doesn't make me take the rating down at all, but it is a bit annoying Other than that it's great! ... show more

    • Does the job, but has some serious heating issues
This product does the job exactly like I expected , nothing more nothing less, like you would always expect from Anker! It comes with a little sleeve for storage which was unexpected though. However it has some substantial heating issues which should be resolved immediately. After about 10 mins of outputting 1920x1080p at 120hz from my MacBook Air I touch it and it feels so damn hot! Even just connecting a wireless mouse makes it a bit warm! Heating is a very important aspect of technology and Anker should definitely try to fix this issue. ... show more
