  • Works Great So Far!
I needed a USB hub for my new Macbook Air, which only has two USB C ports. I decided to try this one and so far it's worked great. I like it because it mounts flush with the computer and doesn't dangle. It does take up both of the USB ports on the Mac, but that's ok. It fits perfectly and does not cover up the magnetic charging port. At first it wasn't working, but then I was able to push it in a little tighter and it was fine. I haven't moved the computer around, but from what I can tell the hub seems to be securely attached. It includes two USB A ports and two USB C ports, which is what I was looking for. It also has a couple of other types of ports which I probably won't be using. One of the USB C ports is for "pass through charging" as well as data transfer. Some hubs do not transfer data through their charging port, but this one does both. I haven't had this long, but it worked fine when I used one of the USB A ports to transfer my files from an external drive that Carbonite sent me. My previous computer was a Windows PC, and Carbonite's backup program is not compatible across platforms, so my only choice was to have them send an external drive. The file transfers went quickly and smoothly. I also used the powered USB C port with an external CD drive which I also purchased from Amazon. The instructions on the drive said to not use a hub but to plug it directly into the computer. I did not want to remove the hub to use the CD drive, so I decided to try the USB C port which included the power. The CD drive worked perfectly. I'm also using one of the USB A ports for the little plug which came with my old wireless mouse, and it is also working great. So far, I'm very happy with this hub! ... show more

  • Perfect for transferring files
I have a podcast studio and record onto SD cards but my new computer does not have an SD card slot. This does the trick really well and it looks really nice too. Not too big, not in the way and is easy to carry with me in my laptop bag.

  • Compact and no Dongled attached wire
I replaced my Apple Dingle with this Anker hub and I've already used the HDMI connection several times. It works like a charm. There are plenty of connections available and I was pleased to find I could still charge my MacBook with the hub plugged in An all around winner in my estimation.

  • Not as good as it seems
The usb-c hub looks good, sturdy, and works right out of the box. When inserted, one side is lower, the side with two usb-c ports being higher. The side farther away from the usb-c ports is lower because of its weight and not getting as much mechanical support. This may be common problem for similar products, not just Anker. IMHO, this should and can be improved on. ... show more

  • Perfect Hub for MacBook Air - A Work from Home Must-Have!
I’ve been using the Anker 547 USB-C Hub (7-in-2) for my MacBook Air at my work-from-home office, and it has been an absolute game-changer. As someone who relies heavily on a seamless, efficient setup, this hub has exceeded my expectations and fits perfectly into my daily workflow. The compatibility with Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports on my MacBook Air is flawless. The plug-and-play functionality made it incredibly easy to set up – it was literally a matter of plugging it in, and I was good to go. The hub’s design is sleek and compact, blending in perfectly with my MacBook, and doesn’t take up much space on my desk. The variety of ports is what makes this hub stand out. With 4K HDMI, USB-C, and two USB-A data ports, it offers everything I need. I can connect my external monitor through the HDMI port, which supports 4K resolution, making my work-from-home experience much more productive with a dual-screen setup. The additional USB ports allow me to connect all my peripherals like a mouse, keyboard, and external hard drive simultaneously. What I appreciate most is the reliability and speed of the data transfer. Whether I’m transferring large files, streaming video meetings, or juggling multiple tasks, this hub keeps up without any lag or connection issues. It’s built to handle a heavy workload, and it shows. Moreover, the Anker 547 doesn’t get overly hot, which is a testament to its build quality and design. This was a major plus for me, as it reassures me about its longevity and stability, even after hours of continuous use. The Anker 547 USB-C Hub is a stellar accessory for my MacBook Air and an essential component of my work-from-home setup. Its reliability, variety of ports, and seamless integration with my MacBook have made my workday more efficient and less cluttered. I highly recommend it to any MacBook user looking for a high-quality, versatile hub that won’t disappoint. ... show more

  • Great item for multitasking
Owning a business and needing extra ports, this is perfect item to help achieve all the connectivity I needed to run my business. Everything works as expected and doesn't break the bank.

  • Sleek, small and useful, but unstable.
This is very portable and adds much needed connectivity to the MacBook Air I'm using. Unfortunately the connections with peripheral devices are very unstable. Even on a solid table with light keyboard usage, external SSDs, and debug connections to an iPhone lose connection on occasion.

  • Worked great, and is sturdy
The only con is it does not include a NIC for hardwired connection. Tried out all the ports, no issues and it passes through the charger saving a spot on my MacBook.
