  • High quality construction
Haven’t used it yet, but it seems well made. I expect it to work as designed based on experience with other Anker products.

  • Absolutely reliable USB hub with HDMI
This is the perfect USB hub for your mobile, return-to-office, or work-from-home job. I use one of these in my home office, and keep another in my "road bag" to use in a hotel room or while back in the office a couple of days a week. Small, easy to use, and absolutely reliable.

  • Great Little Device
Love this hub. I hate that Apple is so cheap when it comes to ports on their computers, but this hub makes it less painful. Love that it has plenty of ports in addition to an ethernet port. Really well done.

  • Ethernet Jack (RJ45) did not work for me (Edit: It does now)
Update: After a couple of restarts, and continuing to plug in the Anker 5-in-1 USB C hub in different ports, followed by plugging various cables in different order, I found that I need to plug the RJ45 cable in FIRST, before the HDMI and the USB 4-port extender I use. For some reason, one of those was preventing the Ethernet connection from working, but if I plug in the USB C hub first, then plug in the Ethernet, THEN plug in the HDMI cable and USB A hub cable, it works for me. I updated my review from 1 star (I was very disappointed) to 5 (I am happy!). I am happy with Anker's high build quality and this feels more like a user error and/or an unusual/unintended use case. But Anker engineering, take heed - I plugged (your) 4-USB port extender into the USB C hub's USB A port and it somehow prevented the RJ45 port from working - I have a keyboard, mouse, and webcam hooked up to the USB 4-port extender and I can't even begin to imagine why that would cause the RJ45 port not to work - but, thought I should share my experience in case others have similar issues. Original post: I love Anker's cables and batteries, they have worked flawlessly for me and I love their build quality. For this USB C hub, I (accidentally) purchased two units of this product. That means I was able to test 2 of them and neither of them could make the RJ45 port work on a 2019 MacBook Pro, which the listing claims it is compatible with. I know the Ethernet cable/connection works because I have a Dell USB C to Ethernet dongle, which when I plug THAT in, Ethernet works great. However, when I plug in the Anker USB C Hub [Upgraded], 5-in-1 USB C Adapter, I cannot get the RJ45 port to work. I tried one and it didn't work, so I thought "maybe this one just happens to have a bum RJ45 port", but I then tested the other on all 4 Thunderbolt ports on the laptop and the Anker USB C hub RJ45 ports did not establish an Ethernet connection on either unit. I am returning for a refund - the RJ45 port and the small form factor were the key reasons I purchased this USB C hub. I will note that everything else worked flawlessly. The HDMI connected first time to a 32" external monitor, the USB A ports connected a mouse and keyboard and a webcam. My sole issue is the RJ45 port, which I could not get to work on 2 separate, brand-new Anker USB C hubs. ... show more

  • Not good for gigabit ethernet connections
This is a review for those using the ethernet connection: I bought this adaptor a year ago and all ports worked fine until my provider (Xfinity) upgraded me to a faster speed internet (I get average 400 mbps download and use a wired connection to my router). Now whenever I get on video calls, the ethernet port disconnects me regularly on my 2021 Dell XPS 13 Laptop. I have tried a variety of experiments to figure out what is happening. Use a fast ethernet cable, so that seems to be fine. I started unplugging and replugging in the ethernet cable whenver the drop occurs, and sure enough, it will reset and connect again - for a time. The port seems to overheat or something. The rest of the ports work fine, and as I stated earlier, the ethernet worked fine with no problems for nearly a year until my Xfinity speed increased. ... show more

  • Great dongle accessory for my 14" MacBook Pro
Saw this item reviewed by "The Everyday Day" on youtube and decided to give it a try with my 14" MacBook Pro. Works great and gives me the ability to hook up directly with the ethernet port at the end. Being able to use both USB C and USB 3.0 plus HDMI connectors is great and handy as well.
