Easy to raise and lower by hand. VERY easy to install. Two screws to hold the brackets and two bolts to hold the shade. My 47’’ window was a perfect fit for the 46.5’’ shade. No regrets. These shades are GREAT! They block a ton of light and make the room feel so cozy. Easy to install. The color is a lot darker in person than on the description, and that was a surprise, but it works for our decor. Easy to go up and down.

I’ve been gradually replacing all the blinds in my home with these modern window blinds, and I couldn’t be happier with the transformation they’ve brought to my space. Their sleek, contemporary design effortlessly complements a variety of home aesthetics, from minimalist to traditional, adding a touch of sophistication to every room. As you can see, they look nice whether pulled down or raised. Installation was straightforward, though I’d recommend having a second person to make the process even smoother—one to hold the blinds in place and another to handle the drilling. The only thing I changed was using wood screws I had on-hand as the included screws were cheap and stripped easily. Othe than that, it was a breeze to install the wingnuts over the screws. The blinds are incredibly easy to operate, gliding smoothly up and down with minimal effort, making them a breeze to adjust throughout the day. They also do a good job of blocking out most sunlight, providing both privacy and effective light control. The color matched the product description well, with only minor variations that didn’t detract from the overall aesthetic. My only wish is that you could shorten the blinds like you can with the wood slat blinds. I have some pretty short windows and would love to be able to do this.
