I've had this hot plate for a few weeks and can't comment on its longevity. There is a fan that turns on when the unit is in use. It's not very loud and it runs for a few minutes after the unit is turned off. There is a timer but you lose the settings if you change power or temp, it doesn't beep when the time expires. There is a beep every time a button is pushed. Not sure if it's a true 1800 watt unit but I was able to get to 15 psi with a stovetop pressure cooker. It took about 8 to 10 minutes after closing the lid to get to 15 psi. My previous infrared hot plate rated at 1300 watts struggled to get to 15 psi. It takes 10 or so minutes to boil a quart of water. The LEDs stay on as dashes when the unit is turned off. The unit retains heat for a while and the display scrolls the word "Hot". The plug is two prong and thus not grounded nor is it polarized. ... show more

This electric stove is wonderful, effective and very easy to use. I am very happy with my purchase, I bought 2 and gave one to my brother, his wife is happy using it, she doesn't even use the gas stove anymore, in this electric one she cooks everything now, great electric stove

Do joy like that I can’t control the heat. The heat is preset in what the manufacturer assumes you will need and assumes what med high is to them. We as the consumer should be able to control the temperature.

It heats up so fast and it comes with heat adjustment, wattage adjustment, even a timer, what's not to love about this??? Also it looks nice and it's a perfect size. A fantastic find and such a good buy!

Appearance's ceramic glass is thin & likely to crack when fitting. I had to widen the opening length wise but add extra 1" lip widthwise. Foam tape provided is just adequate so be careful you don't lose any. The stupidest feature is the power supply, which genius decide it should exit from the front of the stove when all outlets are situated at the back of the cabinets, make sure you have the space to rout it to the back without hitting underneath which is a very hot surface!!!! ... show more
