I am so glad I purchased this glider for my son's nursery. I looked around at furniture stores and was appalled by the prices of rockers and recliners. I decided to give this a try and I'm so glad I took a chance on it. First off, I am a 33 year old gal who really detests assembling furniture, but this took me about 10 minutes. Also, I was worried about this being a pain to get upstairs, but it wasn't. There are only a handful of parts, so you can carry them upstairs and assemble there with ease. This chair, despite its low price, does not look or feel cheap AT ALL. It glides smoothly without any squeaking or crackling. It is very comfortable to nurse and rock in. It looks great, too. I went with the brown cushions because I have 3 boys and I just can't keep anything light colored in the house, and I'm very happy with the way the chair looks. The cherry wood actually matches our pre-existing crib and dresser perfectly. I highly recommend this chair. I would definitely make this purchase again! ... show more

bought to replace the original ones on parents' glider. wasn't sure we'd like the velour like fabric as far as staining but it's softly comfortable, so that wins out. Was easy to switch out and overall pleased. That the price is over half that of just a whole new glider gave us pause but we're not ones to toss a good piece of furniture before it's time, so replacement even if pricey was best solution for us ... show more

I haven't officially decided how I feel about this chair because the baby hasn't arrived yet but I have had it for 2 weeks and it is starting to grow on me. Originally I found one at Babies R Us that I loved because it was so comfortable but it was almost $600 and I felt like I couldn't justify spending that much on a glider so I found this chair on Amazon and thought it would be comparable. It is very easy to put together, however, when I sat in it for the first time you can tell why the prices were so different. You are definitely not going to feel like you are sinking into a fluffy cloud of velvet like the $600 chair, the foam is more on the hard side but I'm thinking about making a back pillow to go with it. Initially I was a little disappointed and thought about returning it but we have it in our bedroom instead of the nursery, because the baby will spend the first few months with us, and I have to admit I find myself sitting in it everyday. Being near the end of my pregnancy it's hard to get comfortable and it is nice to sit in the glider and put my feet up. If I had never sat in the other chair I would probably be very happy with this chair, and I am happy with what I got for the price that I paid. ... show more

Like that it seems well build and durable as far as design. Easy to put together and comfortable. We have had it for a couple weeks and it’s starting to show some wear in the arm rest. The wood finish is wearing off.

I was skeptical of purchasing this chair due to all the negative reviews. I literally saw the same chair in Buy Buy Baby for $400. I couldn't resist the price and decided to purchase it. I'm very happy with my decision. The chair and ottoman accentuate my son's nursery very nicely and I enjoy just holding him and rocking back & forth. It always puts him to sleep.
