I like these shears a lot. They are well made and seem quote durable. I have had lesser quality shears in the past and they become dull and do not hold up. This review is for the Soft Grip Pruner. One-day shipping on this neat. The product looked as it did in the pictures, and the packaging was brand new and unopened. The spring felt smooth when opening and closing, and the lock was easy to engage and disengage. The handles were comfortable in my hand. The blades came together closely for clean cuts, and they were nice and sharp. Very straightforward and easy to use. Here is my poor experience. I made about five nice cuts on very thin tomato branches before the blades jammed together. I tried adjusting the tension, but it didn’t help. The blade gets caught on the hook. My last bypass pruners were Fiskars and I beat the hell out of them. Total abuse for a couple of seasons, and they didn't quit until I lost them. These were the cheapest bypass pruner option, but I still expected them to last through a few seasons of tomatoes. Maybe I got a dud. I dunno. Returnless refund was nice. These ones are for the dump ... show more

Gave the new soft grip fiscars pruning shears a good workout right out of the box and snipped several armloads of dead twigs, branches and tree shoots up to half an inch. Very comfortable and snipped great but by the time I was done the exposed spring was caught on something and lost and I had to open with a finger every snip. Still like em and will keep but sure wish they had a hidden loop coil spring in the handle. ... show more
