Toaster works just fine on sliced bread and thicker 1/2 bagels. The cord length is adequate for my counter space. The timer display counting off seconds actualy turns out to be a help when co-ordinating other meal items that you would like to come out hot at the same time. I don't know how long this one will last, but I'd buy it again, or purchase it as a gift. ... show more

Consistent, even browning of the toasted material. Minus 1 star for it being very hard to see the notch on the dial. Minor nitpicks : - be nice if the digital display was a bit larger, and tilted up for better viewing angle - would prefer clicks on dial instead of it being a smooth rotate - half settings in between the numbers would be nice - Slots are a bit tight lengthwise : some sliced bread products require prodding in order to insert ... show more

I read a lot of reviews before this purchase. It was a good purchase and I’m happy with it. It makes fine toast and I like the countdown timer. But, do I expect this Chinese made toaster to last more than a few years, if that? No, I do not. Should any of you have expectations that any of the toasters Amazon sells will last? If you do, dream on. I couldn’t find a single toaster on Amazon that was made in the USA or Europe. (It’s possible I missed one, but I doubt it.) So, Amazon shoppers, I urge you to be realistic.
