  • My 2 cents after 3 years of ownership
Size: 8-Core 2+32G
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this radio back in 2021 for a 2003 Honda accord. Nonetheless, 3 years later and it’s working as good as ever. The screen looks great and using CarPlay with it, it runs as smooth as butter. This screen is a quick and easy upgrade to bring your interior forward by 20 years. The CarPlay instantly connects wirelessly, which some new cars even now don’t have. It also offers an equalizer app were you can tweak your speakers and subs so I tweaked the settings around and made my stock speakers sound better. Overall this thing has made my car so much more modern and people think my car is a 2015 or newer just because of it. I did have an issue one time where the CarPlay stopped working, but I emailed support and they told me how I could update the firmware on the tablet and after that everything was working as it should. It may be worth it to note that the AC controls on the display don’t work for me, I’m not sure why, but the physical buttons have never failed me so it’s not really an issue for me. Overall after 3 years I’d say it was worth the money and it’s for sure paid itself off wit the use I’ve gotten out of it. ... show more

Mekeda Tech Radio I ended up purchasing both models of this radio, really because the one was out of stock when I came back. So, they are a bit different so I will review them both The 32 GB model has a slightly different front plate, and the knobs and buttons felt and looked a bit cheaper plastic than on the other model. The blue harness that fits into the radio had one piece that did not fit properly into the back of the radio and I had to trip a clip off to get it to work. It also shows the temp in C on the main screen no matter what I chose in the menu. Additionally in this model, the wire for triggering the reverse camera did not work. I trouble shot the entire system and determined it was the radio itself that was not accepting the camera. So, I ordered the 64 GB model. I like the feel of the buttons and knobs on this one better, and the blue wire harness has a different configuration on the plugs so the two were not interchangeable but the harness did fit into the radio in all places for this one. Fitting this harness into the lower part of the radio is what displays your temp and air flow settings on the main screen, otherwise you are just guessing what setting you are using. One of my speakers is a bit buzzy on this one (and not on the other). On both models my car play was working, playing sound from both usb and Bluetooth worked, and the radio worked. I didn’t try screen mirroring. What I learned with some back and forth from the manufacturer. First, you need to update the system to the right car model. You’ll need wifi for this. I had to just borrow some free wifi outside of my local fast food establishment. The menu for this is settings-car settings- extra settings – 8888- car model—Dao jun- honda- accord7—single or double. Then wait for it to update the MCU and choose the logo. After this, click the cog wheel in the top corner and then click “update system” and it will run another update. At this point you can exit to the main screen and look at APPS (not settings) and choose the car settings app, and there you can choose F or C. I discovered another layer of options on this extra settings menu with code 123456. The manufacturer also gave me codes 0000 for car door lock, and 5678 for back light adjustment but I can’t find a place where entering either of those codes works. I was also told the factory reset password is also 8888 but did not have luck with that, either. The reverse camera trigger wire: The manufacturer described it as being the third wire over on the radio side of the blue harness, First Black, then Red, then this wire. It is brown and is labeled “back.” It took me a bit to figure out Bluetooth also, so click the Bluetooth button in the apps, then the symbol for Bluetooth settings, then on the phone look at Bluetooth connections and choose the car (carkit_blink) and then enter the code into the phone that is showing on your car’s screen, mine was 0000 for both radios. I saw a lot of questions about the vents and initially also had his issue. After choosing your model and updating, pressing the mode button changes which vents are blowing. Additionally, I am including two photos the manufacturer sent to me that are not in this listing. ... show more

  • No manual. Learning curve. Lasted 3 yrs
Size: 8-Core 2+32G
After 3 years or so of owning this product its been giving nothing but issues now. You pay for what you get right. Through the first year my gps and backup camera stopped working but it was whatever i only really cared about carplay really. But it also just keeps disconnecting which was annoying but again. You get what you pay for i just learned to live with it. Now this past month or so the audio randomly stopped working and you cannot hear anything at all. Even resetting or turning the car off dont help it just randomly decides wen it wants to work. Lowering my rating because it did last a while but then again you paying for something Cheap. This is what you will risk. Honestly. This radio is a gonna be kinda difficult to install if you aren’t tech savvy. Plug and play yes. But if u want to install a back up camera and all that. Well u gotta figure out where to plug things in. Fitment was great on a honda accord 05 LX. Everything works. AC is good. But one thing im still figuring out is how to change the AC to display Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. Other than that. Im kinda content with this radio it being this price and actually does have wireless apple carplay. Lets see how long this last. *for those wanting to change the ac from celsius to Fahrenheit. You have to go to settings - car settings - extra settings - 8888 - model choose - then press the config and choose the single or dual zone. And it’ll download an update make sure to not turn off ur car. And then after you should see the temp unit option in the car settings app!!* ... show more

  • 13 months and touch screen now useless
Size: 8-Core 2+32G
bought in October 2020 and now the touch screen doesn't work. getting technical support is nearly impossible. if you're lucky you'll get an email back in a day or two and the same with any reply you're expecting. so literally every question you have is going to take days to get a reply to and you probably won't get the help you need. the stereo was in another language when I got it and luckily my son figured out how to change it. there are no instructions for use. I tried multiple times to change the degree to farenheit but it won't keep the setting, never got the map to work, several pre installed apps were obsolete so many features just don't work. the main problem now is the touchscreen won't respond to any touch and the tech support sends me a video to access the programming by using the touchscreen...so that was useless. a couple times it started working again but not for long so it's useless now and I haven't heard from tech support for almost a week now. I don't recommend this stereo, it has been nothing but a hassle the whole time. I'm going to have to buy a conversion kit and get a double din like I should have done in the first place. feeling ripped off. ... show more
