Received in brand new perfect condition. I have always wanted one of these for a very longtime. Just put it all together and tested it out. Works fantastic. Did I say fantastic? Very well balanced and build quality. Everything is adjustable for your liking. The picture quality is fantastic! There’s that word again fantastic. Very clear. Look in this hobby this is a must. It also comes with a slide holder for all you folks that like to microscope things. For me it’s for electronics. Circuit boards checking for cold soldering joints and surface mount components. Comes with lights too among other items. Mine is the 10.1” screen model just fantastic! I can’t stop using that word. I’m very impressed with this and what you get for this price point. I've used this microscope for about 6 months for electronics repair and it has performed very well. Some things feel a little cheap, like the plastic lens tubes, but for the price, this microscope is hard to beat. I've used most of the lenses regularly and have never had a problem with focusing on the board, and the silicone mat and parts organizer it came with were a bonus.

The arms with mine seem sturdy so far, lights have been nice, the screen and magnifying part has been nice. I've soldered a few esc's to motors in rc cars using the arms without issues so far. With the help of the screen and extra visibility I was able to spot a short and replace a mosfet an receiver wires on the board of a esc I thought was junk. I didn't expect the blue heat pad which is awesome. The trays are cool and nice to have the option. Admittedly, I haven't linked this to my computer. I started to but stopped because the link process seemed sketchy. Overall, I'd maybe get the 10" screen if you've got room on your desk or don't want to ever use a laptop. But, I'm still very happy with it and pumped on testing it with the slides it comes with.

I used this to build a QRPLabs QMX+ amateur radio. My aging eyes were not able to see the solder joints well enough with a simple magnifying glass. For the price, this unit was a solid performer with good magnification and a clear image. Depth of field is very small, but usable. I enjoyed using this, there's plenty of room to work with a soldering iron under the scope.

Works well. Not a stereoscopic microscope, so no depth of field is to be expected; that means you cannot tell if something is higher or lower on the screen (using tweezers difficult). One star off due to clunky lens change system, otherwise good item, hope it lasts.

This thing is a real joy to have on the workbench. It makes life so much easier as my near eyesight transitions from young to middle-aged. My only non-complaint (more like expectation-management for future buyers) is that the focus is a little sensitive. It focuses very well, but with very minor adjustments. I find myself overshooting the desired focus frequently. The image is extremely crisp. The LEDs are good for general area lighting, but when using them directly on the area of interest, they wash the picture out from pure brightness. I just use an LED desklamp for broader lighting and use the built-in LEDs to supplement. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the auxiliary work surface with the compartments, but I'm glad I got it - I've used the compartments to segregate screws from simultaneous projects, and the larger area is nice for bigger circuit boards.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: As advertised. I was super pleased with the product. I can actually see what I am doing AND I can fit my tools under the scope to manipulate wires and chips easily. Others I have tried are so close to the item I couldn’t get any tools even close to the item I was working on without knocking out of view. Made well. Comes with different lenses that change out and help with framing the work piece. Just loving this thing. Great purchase.
