To date I have only used glass optics. Today I setup and used this digital microscope. The resolution is ok, it can be grainy if you ask too much from it. For my use, the med range optic will work fine. Lights work great. I didn't setup clips or slide, as I'll be working on large motherboards. Depth perception is not really an issue in my setup. The 10 inch display is nice, but when your working a few inches away it's overkill. If I had to do it again, I would have gone with 7". So far, nice rig. ... show more

The arms with mine seem sturdy so far, lights have been nice, the screen and magnifying part has been nice. I've soldered a few esc's to motors in rc cars using the arms without issues so far. With the help of the screen and extra visibility I was able to spot a short and replace a mosfet an receiver wires on the board of a esc I thought was junk. I didn't expect the blue heat pad which is awesome. The trays are cool and nice to have the option. Admittedly, I haven't linked this to my computer. I started to but stopped because the link process seemed sketchy. Overall, I'd maybe get the 10" screen if you've got room on your desk or don't want to ever use a laptop. But, I'm still very happy with it and pumped on testing it with the slides it comes with. ... show more

Great Microscope and much bigger tha. The image shows. One thing to note, check EVERYWHERE in the box before assuming that parts are missing. I ended up DOING THIS and then found the parts hiding in the foam packaging. The microscope comes with several lenses, which are super easy to change (MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DROP LENSES) as they are very delicate. This purchase included some specimen slides and a 32gb sd memory card which was a pleasant surprise. Takes a bit of assembly time, but instructions are included (READ THEM LOL) and there is even a quick start guide for assembly You also have to plug in, using the included cable and power brick (Not battery powered for screen) Overall great microscope so far and so many bells and whistles to list here. Great for micro solidering or just needing better magnification for tierd old eyes. ... show more

Decent quality buttt it has soooo many dead pixels and its extremely noticeable when your using it. Its so hard to ignore im going to ask for a replacement. The only good thing I have to say is that it does have good magnification for trace repair

I bought the Andonstar AD246S-M Plus specifically to fix bent pins on a CPU socket, and it performed flawlessly. The 2160P UHD video clarity is incredible—you can see every single pin in sharp detail without straining your eyes. The 7-inch screen gives plenty of room to work, and hooking it up to a larger monitor via HDMI made the precision alignment so much easier. The working distance is excellent, giving you plenty of clearance for a soldering iron or hot air station underneath. The included helping hands are solid and kept everything perfectly steady while I worked. If you do any kind of intricate electronics or motherboard repair, this station is worth every penny.
