I needed something lightweight and easy to transport between photography gigs. This was perfect for that. It also comes with the backdrops I needed and all of the equipment is very lightweight and super easy to set up. I do recommend using sandbags to keep lights down since they're easy to knock over especially when working with kids who love to run around.

Im a simple at home photographer and have been form 30+ years. I do like to take my gear on the road sometimes and this entire kit is just what I needed. The backdrop frame can hold up most muslins and is a simple snap pin setup... you will need some extra weights and a few extra bungie cords if you want that tight fit look. The lights are all in foam and inside simple cardboard boxes. This was great for me so I can transport and not feel like I was going to break something. Also there is a second smaller bag and pouch for the lights and flash bounces so if I only need to take a part of the setup Im all set. The stands for the entire setup are very lightweight and the cross bars do flex a little so take it slow and be careful during setup and tear down. I bought this for my wife to use while I was away at work and at 5"1' she has no trouble setting this up all alone. Since then, we have used it both indoors and out to get some great shots. The lights are 6000K CFL style so no need to worry about LED shadows. The reflector is the only part that feels the cheapest. It is double sided, but the wire inside is flat and stiff not line a car sunshade. So not that cheap :) The diffusers on the lights are velcro and really fit tight so no need to worry about them casting the wrong shadows. Just make sure to fold EVERYTHING up nice and snug and this will last a long time. Just remember its NOT commercial grade more Harbor Freight special. :O

This is definitely a great buy at $80 compared to what else is being sold right now. It is still made to a price point but it's definitely got what I needed to get up and running. I added some speedlight mounts as I could not adapt the bulb adapters to work for that purpose. That was the biggest let down with the softboxes, I was hoping to use both bulb and speedlight with the softbox itself. It is not possible with these that come in the set. The umbrellas work great with the speedlights. Only thing I would keep in mind is the 45 watt bulbs will not give you powerful light. If you are wanting to control your light for video maybe it'll work but honestly I got this for the stands, backdrop/stand, and was hoping to use with speedlights. All that the bulbs aren't that powerful and will not give you speedlight or strobe light power. It will do a good job of giving you a basic start and overall still don't think I could have pieced together everything for this price. I'll add a Key Light softbox for my photography and honestly will give these bulb soft boxes a go for video work with higher wattage bulbs. Don't expect super bright output but you can get brighter bulbs, that's the only negative I can find really. I would not pay $200 for this but for the $80 I spent it is pretty awesome.

Only thing good about this set is the soft box lighting, and it is easy to assemble. Everything thing else isn’t that sturdy and the backdrops had a stain.

This kit kicks for sure. It’s got everything you need to take effective photos with out spending big bucks to get started. I’m missing a light socket and a clamp but other than that this kit is amazing.

From the beginning when we got the product seems everything was fine, until the moment when we start to build the construction. The awfully part and the most dangerous was the light that when we switch it on for the photo it gets burnt. First, it was with one and then the other three. All the room was in the smoke, was smelling very badly. The light station gets burnt. it is really horrible you pay enough money hoping for good quality and in the end, you are getting serious problems like that. Afraid to think if we would not run to switch all light of the house what could happen. At all besides that the quality of the items was not that fine, some were even came broken. If you think to order something professional for sure I will not suggest buying it.

It’s been awhile since I have done a review. Pros - soft box work well . This is why I decided not to return them , Cons - Damaged box . Bad packaging and damaged bulb. I tried to email with Amazon but I could not. You have to do it outside the app and do not want to. I feel Amazon does not look at what they are buying or packaging upfront. Still doing there over size boxes.
