  • Really good!
Had these for a few years now. Still cut and hold charge really good. Even with terrible maintenance from myself admittedly.

  • Unboxing and First Impression
UPDATE: I’m updating this from three to five stars now after having several weeks use with it. These are by far the best clippers I’ve ever used. I just really enjoy using them. Sharp precision blades, smooth and close cut, with no cord in the way makes cutting hair a lot easier! Suggested improvement: 1. A response from the company about why they are shipping products that so many customers report look used? (See my original review below.) If the company is repacking and selling returned items, that is wrong. If not, why not respond to the complaints with some sort of explanation? 2. It has a cheap, slightly wobbly plastic on/off switch. It feels like if anything gives out, it’s going to be this switch. Not a dealbreaker at all. It will probably be fine… but why not incorporate a nice stainless steel push-button that sits flush with the housing? Too much to ask for? Nope. Not at this price. 3. Guards? Well to be fair, it’s a premium item and it was clear to me, up front, that guards were not included. Including them though, would really sweeten the deal. 4. A small cleaning brush for the blades. Okay, if you want to sell the guards separately—fine. But you need to include the little whisk brush to sweep the hair clippings out of the blades. This has always been included on all the cheap clippers I’ve used. - - - - - - - Original Review: I just received this a few minutes ago and can honestly say I’m not totally convinced it’s a brand new/unused item. I do not see hair on it as other people have reported but the clipper is chrome and appears to have been handled and is all printed up. It does not have a factory new appearance at all. I’m intentionally noting this because I read the many other reviews that claimed they received a used one. I thought maybe those people had mistakenly a refurbished item, but I am not so sure now. I paid full price for this one and it was not advertised as a refurbished item. So, I shined it up and it looks fine. (I didn’t think to take a photo beforehand.). Nothing else seemed out of the ordinary. This item does not come factory charged, so I’m charging it as instructed before turning it on. My only other gripe so far is that for the price I think it should Include guards. I spent an additional $45 for cheap plastic guards for this. They are magnetic, so that’s a nice touch but they aren’t much different than the cheap, flimsy plastic guards that come with inexpensive units. I plan to update this review whenever I have the opportunity to try it out. I’m looking forward to that and if all checks out I may raise the stars accordingly. ⭐️ ... show more

  • Great Clippers - Probably Better (and More Expensive) Than a Non-Professional Really Needs
When I began teleworking at the end of March, all of my normal social practices changed, as they have for most of us. I had been getting my hair cut regularly at a local hairdresser, but I didn't want to continue those appointments until this virus risk period was over. Initially my wife cut my hair using an old Wahl model 9854 clipper. That had worked well for trimming my beard, but when we used it for trimming my hair it did not work very well. I then embarked on one of those research projects that is so easy to conduct these days, with tons of articles and videos available on the Internet. After spending plenty of time reading and watching a wide variety of reports, I decided to purchase this Andis cordless model. It's expensive and not necessarily the consensus recommendation of every review I surveyed, but it is clearly one of the top choices. There are many other high quality clippers available, corded and cordless, and my choice of this Andis model was based on the following: - the clipper is clearly high quality (and in use it is solid and well built, actually quite attractive) - Andis is an American company, family owned and managed for four generations - this Andis clipper, the MLC Master® Cordless, is Made in the USA (most but not all Andis models are US made) - I expect that replacement parts will always be available, if repair is ever needed - my expectation that, since this is a professional clipper, it will be the last clipper I need to purchase In use, this is impressive and (as you would expect) far superior to what we used previously. The rotary motor operates at 7200 rpm so it cuts effortlessly and without grabbing or pulling. This clipper does not include a selection of guards (or combs as Andis calls them). I purchased this Andis 01410 Master Dual Magnet Small 5-Comb Set to provide the sizes I needed. There are other guards available in different sizes as well. The guards are held to the clipper with a pair of strong magnets, and require a certain effort to remove and install. I also purchased this Andis Cylindrical Grooming Blade Holder Bag to hold my new clipper kit and accessories. This is an expensive clipper, particularly considering that the the guards must be purchased separately. It is not something most folks may be able to afford, or will casually buy. I was comfortable spending the money, and I'm very satisfied. As a final comment, I purchased this clipper, and the guard set, from seller 'PERSONAL&ACCESSORIES'. For some reason they are no longer listed as one of the sellers offering this model clipper, but that could change. The products that I received from them were new, sealed, and properly packaged. I purchased the accessory bag from seller 'FROM A TO Z' and that was also new and fully satisfactory. ... show more

  • Great BUT….!!
They were great. Cut perfectly and definitely improved my skills. IMO they had me and my cuts looking like I was a Master Barber. That is until they stopped working. Now the won’t charge at all. Looked up the reasons as to why they WILL NOT charge and most comments and reviews on warn u about over charging them. While I never left em on charge overnight or let them charge longer than needed, I assume they were just a bad pair with a defective battery or something. Requested a refund so I will be sending them back but purchasing another pair. And it’s crazy how I had a lil 30day return warranty/policy or whatever and this happened on the 29 day.Glad it l did tho. And crazy part is I bought em ‘Brand New’ not USED **update** so it wasn’t the battery and I currently don’t have any issues with the Masters. I accidentally was trying to charge them right after they died and instead of powering off the clippers I put it on charge and they wouldn’t charge or come on after days of charging. But researched online for solutions and after turning em off again and allowing them to charge for an hr or so they came on ... show more

  • Heavy little power house
Love Andis for my precision fades. Wish it was a little bit more light weight but my wrist strength will improve over time I guess? I didn’t get the original print of the Andis clippers but that’s okay because it matches my new slimline. I wish it would have came with its own guards for the price point but the pedestal is a nice touch. ... show more
