Have had this heater for 10 months and its still going strong. Was looking for a small heater that draws less than the typical amount (750-1500 watts) power for use under my work bench in the garage for cold days, this has worked great for that purpose. This uses 500 watts and hasn’t tripped my power off ever, it has a tip-over switch for auto shut off and a red light on front to indicate the power is on. Just one button to turn off or on, it gets warm for close distances or small spaces…i usually only have it on for 5-10 minutes at a time til my legs get too warm so its pretty effective. Initially there was a slight smell to it while the heater was burning off excess manufacturing oils, bit the instructions give a heads up about it and it only existed for the first few uses. Now there is no smell and it just outs the heat needed with no smell at all. Basically, I’m using it at the moment and liked it enough to go back thru my purchases to leave a good review for it. ... show more

This heater is nothing fancy -- no thermostat, no fan controls. It's on or it's off. That said it's small, only pulls 500 watts (compared to 750-1500 of others), and kicks out a good amount of heat. I keep it on the floor under my desk and it does a fabulous job of keeping my immediate area warm. This little guy isn't going to heat a whole room. The tip safety feature is sensitive so it has to sit on a flat surface (but I think that's a good thing). It also had a little bit of a smell the first time I used it, but has been fine since.     • Puts out a lot of heat!

This thing really does put out some intense heat. It says it's 500w, but be warned: it draws up to 600w while warming up, then levels off around 450w after its warm. I use this with an EcoFlow River Pro solar generator in my vehicle as supplemental heat during really cold days, which has a limit of 600w output. It works, but gets really close to the limit. On the downside, the tip over switch is really sensitive, which makes any small movement cut the power. I guess this is a good thing from a safety perspective, but is frustrating during operation. Also, the unit is small and unstable in the upright position, so it is prone to falling over. I wish it had some "feet" that would extend out past the front/back to help stabilize it. It also makes it difficult to set this thing on a seat or carpet, because a soft surface doesn't have enough rigidity to push the tip-over switch all the way in. I think they would have been better off using a standard internal switch, which is what you find on many other heaters. I have thought about disabling the switch by just taping it in place, but I'm not sure if there's a thermal switch, so doing this might make it extremely dangerous. Finally, there's no temperature control at all. It's either on or off. I think it would have been very easy for them to include a simple rheostat dial for temperature control. Overall it's pretty good, and is a good price, but it definitely leaves someting to be desired. It would probably work very well if you set it on a desk, or on a hard floor surface, but that's a fairly limited set of use cases. ... show more

This heater is a wonderful price for what you are getting. If you are looking for a small heater at your desk, this is the right heater for you! It gives off just the right amount of heat with it under my desk. I would say if you are using it in a big space, it probably wouldn't do you any good. It would need to be directly close to you for it to be felt. I also like the safety feature, which is that it has a safety switch on the bottom so if it tips over, it turns off. This is convenient for when you want to run out for a min and turn it off real quick because be careful, the unit does get hot when it is on! Highly recommended! ... show more

I'm anemic, always cold. My hands at work typing get so cold they cramp and lock up. I could be bundled up like an Eskimo and my hands still feel like icicles. So I was looking for something specifically for my desk. Something small, just to give enough heat to my hands. This little guy is smaller than a water bottle, yet puts out a ton of heat. For spot-heating this is great and cost effective. I use it under my desk at work when it’s cold. The tip-over switch works, but the heat is intense and it might cause a danger of melting nearly wires or possibly setting fire to fabric, so I’m careful. I actually wish it had a lower setting, since the fan doesn’t push the warm air very far from the heater, so the effect is of a small hot spot. Still, for the price I’m content with it! ... show more

This lil thing will warm up a whole office! I use it to keep me warm at work and it definitely gets the job done! So much so it starts to burn my hands and my rings get hot! The only downside is there is no temperature setting - just on and off. It is mildly loud but doesn't bother me, it sounds like how the AC blows. This is a very effective little heater, warmed up my office in a matter of minutes. The fact that it consumes only 500W is peace of mind that I won't overload my circuit that already has a computer, a heated rug, a tv, and who knows what else plugged into it. The outlet stays cool to the touch while this heater runs. It is important your outlet is snug and not loose; that is where problems start.
