Harley (the 9-year-old beautiful dog in the pictures) was just diagnosed with pheunomia caused by megaesophagus, which was also just diagnosed, but megaesophagus is a condition where her esophagus wouldn’t push the food or water down her esophagus, but sadly, Harley wouldn’t eat. The first day was good; we got her to take her medicine with food, but after that, she just wouldn’t eat, and to give her water, we had to give her a water bottle with a hole in the top for her to lick out of. We thought it would be better to try to create some regularity with the remaining time we had with her, so we decided to buy this hamster-like water bottle for her to drink out on her own, and it worked great and easy to show her that it was water. Just push the ball inside up and they’ll see water come out, then they’ll lick the water dispenser. I had it on the outside of the crate at first, but since she was very sick, she just wanted to lay down, so I switched it with ease to the inside, and to fill it up, it was just like filling up a water bottle, perfect for what it was used for, but sadly, Harley passed later that week. I just wanted to say thank you for helping my dog feel a little bit better during her last moments.

I am crate training my puppy right now. I didn’t want to leave him with water spilling all over the place. This works great and gives him enough water to not pee in the crate. Highly recommend!

You can use larger plastic bottles with it as long as the thread size and length are the same, in case you have a bigger dog? Also the holder being larger helps a lot too.

My little cat doesn't really know how to drink from a bowl yet. I tried everything, even a turkey baster to help him. Now he loves his new water bottle. It took him some time to work out how to get the water out. Now he runs past his other water bowls to get to it. I secured it onto his scratching post with 2 wood screws. I had to adjust the height so he was comfortable. He loves it. Certainly more than worth the money.
