Great Bee Suit With Good Coverage and a Few Minor Quirks Not Sting Proof

I’ve been using this bee suit while working around my hives, and overall I’m pretty impressed with it. The suit gives you good full-body coverage without feeling overly bulky, and the white material is lightweight enough that I can move around and work without feeling like I’m wearing a sleeping bag. One of the things I really like is the attached veil. It gives good visibility and provides plenty of room around the face, while the zipper/closure system makes it easy to get everything secured before heading into the hives. I also like that the suit has elastic around the wrists and ankles, which helps keep those little openings closed. That’s important when you’re dealing with bees—you don’t really want to give them a convenient front door. The suit also has several pockets, which are handy for carrying small tools or other items while you’re working. Pros * 👍 Full-body protection and good coverage * 👍 Lightweight material that’s comfortable to wear * 👍 Attached veil provides good visibility * 👍 Elastic cuffs and ankles help keep bees from getting inside * 👍 One pocket for small tools/items * 👍 Plenty of room to move and work * 👍 Easy to put on and take off Cons * 👎 The material is fairly thin, so I would still be careful about relying on it as your only protection in areas with particularly aggressive bees. * 👎 The veil/neck area takes a little attention to make sure everything is properly zipped and secured. * 👎 Like most full bee suits, it can get pretty warm when you’re working in the sun. Overall For the price, I think this is a very useful bee suit for the backyard beekeeper or someone who only occasionally works their hives. It provides the coverage I want, doesn’t restrict movement too much, and the attached veil is a big convenience. It’s not the heaviest-duty suit I’ve ever seen, but for normal hive maintenance and inspections, it does a good job of providing an extra layer of protection between me and the bees. I’d definitely recommend it for someone looking for an affordable starter or backup bee suit.

The suit is fantastic for the price, smooth running zippers, thick enough to keep stingers away. The problem is the sizing. It's actually hilarious. I ordered a medium as it states that size suits people up to 6'3". NOPE! That was riding so high up my....Anyway, make sure you size up a couple. I exchanged my medium for an XL. I'll see how that goes tomorrow. Please fix your description lol. But, thanks for making a quality suit. It did allow me to clear a wasp nest while they were swarming, and I didn't get stung. But felt like I was wearing a dagum g string lmao. Edit** The XL fits great! 5 stars. Wish it was 3 layers, but those are considerably more expensive. For the price, I don't think you can beat this suit. Definitely recommend it, and already shared the link.

Safety first! Amazing protection!

We had an underground nest of nasty yellowjackets. Suited up with the ANDES suit and was able to eliminate the whole nest with no stings at all. The gloves made it very easy to manipulate the duster, the screened hood made it easy to see (wear a baseball hat under to have it project out a little more), and the zippers worked and sealed perfectly. No worries at all using this suit!

Good Protection But Sizing/Fit Needs Improvement

I bought the XXL Bee Suit hoping for full coverage, and overall the quality is decent. The suit covers every inch from head to ankle and provides solid protection against bees. The goatskin gloves are thick and protective, the ventilated hood is comfortable with good visibility, and the material feels durable for backyard beekeeping. However, the fit is the biggest issue. Even in XXL, it feels tight around the shoulders and waist, and the elastic bands are a bit too strong, making it uncomfortable during longer use. I wish the sizing was more generous. Other than the fitting problem, it’s a good beekeeper suit for the price and does its main job well.

Fit my need perfectly.

I needed to move a bumblebee nest that was in my chicken coop and did not want to pay $$$$ to a professional. I was afraid the pro might destroy the nest instead of move it because most of the pros around here will only remove and relocate honey bees. Bumblebees can pack a pretty good punch as I discovered when I accidentally kicked their nest, but when not directly disturbed they are pretty benign. The only real problem with them is they increase in number over the summer and I was afraid my chickens would either attack them or visa versa. I am not a beekeeper so do not know how to judge the quaility of a bee suit, but this one seems to be well made with tightly woven material and leather glove/gauntlets. On the advice of another reviewer, I wore a ball cap backwards to keep the back of the head cover away from my neck ....good avice! I was able to go in after dark and gently scoop up the entire nest and relocate it to an old dog house on the far edge of my yard. This was 3 weeks ago and they are still there and thriving! During the move I was attacked around my face but the net kept me safe. I wore jeans and a long sleeved shirt for extra protection and I came out of it unstung. The price was so reasonable! It was worth every penny because not only did it protect me, but it allowed me to keep those precious bees nearby. And now I will have the suit if the need arrises again. I am 5 ft 4 in, 135 lb and I ordered a medium. It was slightly large on me.

Solid bee protection at a great price.

I purchased this bee suit to tackle a yellowjacket colony that had decided to make my back patio their home for the summer. From a quality perspective, for the price I think the suit exceeded the expectations I had. The suit is a bit thicker than I expected, and the headgear allowed for good visibility and breathability. Where this went completely sideways was on the sizing recommendation - I am not sure if the chart was updated since I made my purchase - but I recall double-checking the chart, and it stated a size small would fit someone around 6 feet. I found it odd, but trusted the chart. The suit was comically small, and if I were a half inch taller in the torso, I would have never gotten it above my shoulders. I am 5'10 and weigh 170ish - I would order at least a large if not an XL next time. For occasional use, I think this is a fine item to have - and this, combined with a home pesticide treatment, saved me hundreds over calling a pro.

Perfect for a beginner beekeeper

This bee suit is made better than I thought it would be, the zipper is easy with no tough areas, the material made well, bee’s can’t sting through it, it’s very lightweight, the size is correct, I got an xl and it fits perfect with room to spare. The Andes suit is on my husband 😁
