  • Yes, its worth the 700ish.
Get ready to Read. Got the Bike on March 23, 2021. Not have even own a bike since childhood... The first day after a full charge, I crashed using the throttle and that took a week to recover, no protection gear.. Second week got protection gear.. Its somewhat like a light weight motorcycle that goes 20 mphs. Ok. Im about 140, it went 19.2 straight throttle on street road, Grass 17-18. The front derailleur has a spacer made of plastic can cause it to not shift if it falls out or if it breaks. Brought it to the shop, 30 Buks later he turned a few screw's and fixed it. Following week, it broke again. Basically the peace of plastic is behind the metsl clamp on the front derailleur. Ok, So.. I started watching YouTube videos on why derailers might break. Well after many videos, learning how to shift a front 3 with a 7 in the back and what it really means. Yes, its a budget Ebike. I have The Orange Sunshine. I had 3 heart attacks and have issues walking, heck riding passenger in a car with anyone is a terrifying thing with extreme anxiety, which causes severe heart pain. Oh and 8 stents which when the pain comes, Drs say take your meds. This particular E-bike saved my life. I was constantly losing weight up down with depression, Finally started getting weight back. All because this bike is basically a Cardio Exercise Bike and I don't have to stand which causes pain. Pettling the bike in turbo mode, I could use F1,R1 and still go 15-16 mphs. Yes you can do it in F3R7 and get some really good speeds about 24-25. Someone stronger might do 30 ish. For the price its a good deal. As like a PC, I think it will cost more to build a budget Ebike. And you do get some decent parts. Biggest thing, Maintenance. Serious about Riding, Keep it inside, Clean Daily, Take Care of it like a new car. I have a ton of accessories to saddle bags. Dollar General is ruffly about 3-4 miles which takes about 20 minutes going 10ish. Not blasting thru, but it can be done much faster. All in all, if this is your first Ebike like me, 5 Stars for any first timmer. Granted you all must know a few things, spokes not tight on arrival can create flats. The best thing to do is before it arrives watch as many YouTube videos as possible. Im so much more knowledgeable and I didn't have to pay for it to get it fixed the second time. I would definitely buy it again, just double check all connected parts. Lots of YouTube videos for doing that. So get your Ebike, I love Love it, March 23,2021 currently over 500 miles on it! Charge battery correctly etc never kill it to 0. Also, Rider Weight i'm light at 140 I got 40 miles at 50% battery. Change this to my brother around 200. Suddenly this same ride would be at 25%. Battery bar is 4 led lights, assuming each is about 25%.The power bar is 5 Led modes. Mode 1 no throttle, 2,3,4,5 throttle works. ... show more

  • We now have 3 of these bikes...
***This is an update. We liked this bike so much that we just got 2 more... went from 5 stars to 4. The first bike assembly was simple as can be. If you followed directions well, no special tools were needed. It's now 6 months old and going strong. My sons friend did wreck it pretty bad, but we were able to fix it. It needed a new throttle and wire harness and had to straighted a rim. I was happy to find that despite knowing nothing other than some DIY skills, it was easy to work on. Overall, loved it. Bikes 2 and 3 had a harder time with assembly. On bike 2, the bracket that holds the handle bar to the forks was not threaded all the way in making it impossible to attach the handle bars. I was able to fix this with a tap and die set. Also the front wheel bearing was installed so tight that the tire could barely turn, and I needed an air impact gun to break the bolt loose to adjust it, which was insane. Bike 3 only had one issue and that the front disc brake caliper was not assembled correctly. I had to tear it apart and rebuild it. With a little help on YouTube, it wasn't too bad. From the original 4 month review: The controls are simple. You can easily toggle between full auto or pedal assist, and the battery life seems fine. He rides it a few miles to his friends house regularly and then around with friends and has yet to have it die on him. It has more power than I expected. He's 185lbs and the Life360 tracker app had him clocked at going 22mph on a normal ride without trying to go crazy. So much so that he chose to start wearing a dirt bike helmet instead of his standard bike helmet. I do have concerns on the brakes if he ever needs to stop in an emergency at that speed. The only issue we had was self induced. The battery has a key that locks it onto the bike. He was trying to put the key in to unlock it in the dark and accidentally stuck the key in the charging port and it sparked and ruined the port. I bought another battery, but was able to still charge the old one by making a custom charger that bypassed the port. So now he has 2 batteries. I'm considering wiring up the second one to a rear cargo rack and adding a toggle switch to flip between them. All in all, it's a great bike. ... show more
