I had replaced the resin in my water softener several years ago with off brand resin. It didn't really seem to restore the capacity of my system, so thought I had other problems. Recently capacity was dropping significantly, and I needed to do something, so I decided to replace the resin with brand name resin. Seems Purolite is the industry standard and I found a good price for it, so I went with it. Very glad I did. Water softener capacity seems to be back where it was when it was new. Golden Snow. Water is soft again. I used 10# rock as well in a 9"x48" tank with a new high flow distributor basket #40922 and some 3/4 schedule 40 PVC.. Rebuilt the 5600 control head while I was at it with new seals piston and valve. Tossed the whole 1cf bag in with 10# rock.

The variety of pricing on this product boggles my mind. None were less expensive, and others were more than double the price. This product met all my expectations, was competitively priced, and arrived quickly. Saved me $1,000 plus over having a “professional” recharge my Kinetico water softener.     • great quality
I wanted to go with Purolite because I worked in a power plant where we used their resin in our Cation and Anion exchangers. They have a strong reputation in the industry and it's just not a sideline business for them. Never have seen in issue with their resin in 25 years.

Needed to renew the medium in the water softener. This was exactly what was needed. the bag was the correct amount for the softener and there was no waist. The quality seemed good, very slick. Put down plastic, these will make a floor slippery. The price was comparable to other offerings. Shipping was fast. Now my water is soft again! Tuff to install, but manageable for a Beginner. Don't buy new when you can replenish your existing tank. ... show more
