I researched small espresso machines, and this one got good reviews. I put it in my Amazon cart and purchased it when it went on sale during Prime Day. I love it! The compact, sleek design looks good in my kitchen, and its small footprint doesn’t take up too much counter space. It seems well-constructed, with all-metal housing and small suction cups on the base to prevent it from sliding around. I especially love the crystal-clear instructions, with both verbal text and illustrations that walk you through initial set up and first-time use. The machine is easy to use and allows you to choose single or double shot espresso and adjust the brewing temperature. It’s working flawlessly so far, and I’m starting every morning with a delicious double espresso. I’ve had small appliances fail in the past after just a few weeks of use, but I have a good feeling about this espresso machine.

It has a lot of nice features with one exception. The filter fits so tight into the porta filter you really have to pry it out with a knife or sharp instrument. I wound up using a different portafilter that happened to work with the machine.

Very good entry product into specialty coffees, a very good product. We already have a Keurig and a very good drip coffee maker, but we were missing that "real cup of espresso, etc. We have just returned from Italy and knew we "needed" an upgrade, NOW! This product (CM1636) makes excellent espressos, lattes & cappuccinos for our first foray into specialty coffees without breaking the bank! I love espressos and my wife loves the lattes and cappuccinos. WE already own a great burr grinder (Baratza Encore) so now I just need to tweak that perfect grind size to compliment the espressos I am making right out of the box! It is so easy to use, unpack, wash and run a Capaccino running just water run through it once and it's ready to go. Empty the water that is in the milk container, add your selection of "milk' you want and "go!" my wife is currently using caramel macchiato. The suction cup feet are a great feature as is the small footprint on the counter with the water container on the rear of the machine. Now all my "coffee" machines are lined up in a row to suit ours's and our guests taste whatever they would like to have. So, I would highly recommend this espresso machine as an entry into the world of homemade espresso's, lattes and cappuccinos. You need to definitely give this one a try as an entry into great espressos etc. and learn the finer points rather than those big expensive machines before you even have a clue how to make a great cup of espresso and being disappointed.
