Incredible step. Actually lowers to a height that is usable, unlike all the others. If you want a step to help access the cab, this is it.

    • Have patience and take your time installing, this is not an easy job
If you are going to install this unit yourself, be prepared for some very hard work. On the 2020 Tacoma you must drill some holes in the frame in-order to install the lift arms . The frame on the two front units is a box beam. Have fun reaching inside the box frame in order to install the mounting bolts. The wiring harness seemed too long on the passenger side and almost too short in the drivers side. I ran the drivers side harness straight through the fire wall and just barely made it to the lift motor. Once installed and adjusted with the included shims they works perfectly. ... show more

I purchased these last year in August. I purchased mainly because of reviews and 5 year warranty. They worked ok until they didn’t. After the step stopped going up. I contacted Amp Research. After waiting for 2-1/2 hours, because system didn’t hold my place in line as told. I was instructed first to buy them. After reminding the rep that they were under warranty, he instructed me to send an email. I immediately sent email. After no response I contacted seller. They contacted Amp Research now finally part is ordered, but being told 2-3 weeks before it will ship. This will be 4-5 weeks with board down. This is a common issue with these steps and Amp Research knows it. Unfortunately now the motor is starting to fail. Do not waist your money. Amp Research customers service will not assist you unless you get seller involved Big thanks to the seller though for assisting me in getting a resolution. ... show more
