These are great steps. Exactly what my wife needs. Other steps are narrow or have a bar protruding through the top of the step made to trip or annoy. These are clean looking and easy to use. These are not rock slides. The steps are aluminum and dent very easily. In fact, the Gladiator step is so long, I'm not sure AMP has figured out how to package and ship these without a dent. First package came with a dent. Seller had another sent. It too came with a bigger dent. Had to ship that back. Then AMP sent another two steps, one came with a dent. In the end, I got two steps without a dent, but boy was that a pain. Seller was patient and honored the sale and help me get through it. 5 stars for seller. 3 stars for AMP. Hopefully AMP will figure out that spending $10 on rigid foam for the steps will pay off in the end. The package these long and weighty steps with no protection at all and expect UPS to be able to transport across the country without issue. AMP, hire a new product packaging manager that can figure this out so your buyers have nothing but praise. ... show more

    • Wire harness does not fit

I ordered the running boards specialty for a 2024 Gladiator. Received without instructions but thanks to YouTube I was able to figure it out. I ran the wire harness three times trying different routing each time so that it would fit correctly, no luck. The harness is not the correct length. The wires running down the drivers side had to be stretched over the engine instead of neatly tying to existing harness. The rear step light wires on both sides were a couple of feet short so I had to mount them closer to the front doors, with no hardware to do it with. Oh, one of the lights did not work. Called the company and explained my dilemma and the tech was very nice about getting me the hardware to mount the read LEDs and a replacement LED with the crimps needed. A couple of days later I received the bolts and nuts to mount the plate for the LED. The problem here was the bolts were not the black pan heads I had asked for to match the ones that came with the kit. Next problem was the nut and bolt threads were nut the same. I was going to call back but didn’t want to wait any longer and went to NAPA auto to get the hardware needed. It has been about three weeks since I called and I still don’t have a replacement LED with crimps. My mistake was I installed all the hardware before the wiring, if I had run the wire harness first and encountered the problems, I would have sent the kit back. My advice to buyers is to try to run the harness first thing to make sure that everything fits correctly and can be neatly run without having to be pulled over the engine or any other hot area. And don't forget to check the wire length on the LED wires. If it is not right send it back. The good part is the steps work as advertised and the wife loves them. ... show more

Received the box on time, but it was battered pretty badly. The delivery guy said I could open the box and check everything, but that was a lot to check while they were waiting so we just opened it to make sure the other boxes were inside. Today, I opened all of the boxes to start the install. All of the parts were there, but one of the linkages appeared to have been refurbished by removing the motor from one side and switching it to the other side. The holes were pretty stripped on the one side as you can see in the 4th and 5th pic. Since this would not effect the operation I started the install on the drivers side. When I went to attach the first linkage with the button screws they did not fit. I then looked closer and realized that the holes were not threaded at all. I then checked the other linkage and it was properly threaded (pics 1-3). I then checked the passenger side linkages and they were exactly the same. I decided that I would go ahead and install without the button screws on the one linkage and wait for replacements. Once I got the drivers side linkages installed, I started to install the step, which I had not unwrapped yet. I placed the step on the linkages and started to attach them loosely. The socket bolts were NOT 3/16. I was able to start them, but the 3/16 did not fit like it was supposed to and no other size fit correctly. However, I was able to force the 3/16 to fit and got the socket bolts started. Once I started to align the step I noticed a large dent right in the center area facing outwards. I did not notice it initially because there was no paint missing. I then went and checked the passenger side step more carefully and found it was dented in several places. At this point, I decided that after spending this much money on these steps I was not going to settle for a damaged product. As I was replacing the items back into the main box I noticed that several other shipping labels had been covered up. This tells me that the seller had previously sold this item several times and it was returned, and then they once again sold it to me. I have zero respect for any company that knowingly sells damaged products over and over again. Buyer beware! Edit - I contacted Amp Research as advised by Amazon. Amp rep advised to return the item and get a replacement so I would still receive the $100 rebate. I attempted to return for a replacement and the seller would only allow a return. So, I am now out the $100 rebate for the item too. Edit - Item was returned to seller via UPS and they received it on 2/11/21. Today is 2/18/21 and seller has not marked the item as received for 7 days and has not refunded the purchase price. BUYER BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS DECEPTIVE! Edit - Today is the 10th day since the Seller received the return sent via UPS and still has not even marked the steps as being received or began the refund process. FRAUD!!! Edit - Today is the 11th day since the seller received my return via UPS. Seller now shows having 2 items available instead of the just one that was previously available. Guess they have to resell the returned product so they can use some other person’s money to pay the refund. STILL A FRAUD!!! ... show more

THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE POWER STEPS ARE HORRIBLE ESPECIALLY THE WIRING PART OF THE INSTALL, IF YOU DONT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH WIRING FORGET IT YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THEM INSTALLED BY A PROFESSIONAL

Bought a set from AZ Truck outfitters in Tucson to have installed by them. They couldn't get it to work and kept blowing fuses. Installer said they couldn't get part replaced or tech service. Keep looking if you want something that work!!!!
