I got the AMOAMI 12x19" coffee mat in the dark grey background. I made sure to measure my coffee unit as it's a bit large and added a few inches all around for any spills. I originally used a baking pan underneath because any absorbent material would just leave the surface wet but then there was the pooled water/coffee just sitting there. I needed something that wasn't unsightly like that pan but absorbent and lo and behold, I found what I wanted. This attractive and absorbent coffee mat is just what I needed in its function and design. I made my coffee space a unique area with coffee and cocoa-related themes and the coffee beans printed on the mat is eye catching and fits in nicely. The dark grey to me, looks like a muted black but to each his/her own on color theory. The only 'issue' which was a very tame one is that upon unrolling the mat from the packaging, it stayed slightly bumped up on a couple of corners. I weighted down those corners for a day and they since have flattened out. Of course since testing out this mat, we haven't had one spill, I made a few on purpose and they surprisingly absorbed! I was hesitant at first because the water pooled up for seconds but then it fully absorbed and there was no moisture underneath. I did make a spill with coffee as well since that one is the stainer and let me say, there was no evidence of it being there-nor were there watermarks left behind. I'm no scientist but the porous Diatomaceous Earth is the magic material used to create this absorbency. I normally wipe down my coffee station and it cleans up well. If there are coffee spills, they usually leave a scent, so spraying them down in the sink helps to combat that issue. As with any review, issues sometimes don't arise until later and as I have faith in some products, sometimes their integrity fails. I feel confident in this mat but I will report on any changes or findings.
