Even though the assembly took me several hours I am extremely happy with the quality and style of this Murphy Bed. I had been looking for several months for something different and when I saw this with the two little bookcases I immediately knew it was the one. I put this together totally by myself (I’m a 75 year old petite woman) and followed the instructions methodically. Everything lined up perfectly, no damaged or missing parts. There are two large boxes and one box came on the scheduled day, but the other box did not arrive for another week. The company was quite apologetic for the delay and made it right. I have put together several pieces of furniture in my day, so I won’t say it was hard and I didn’t need a second person. The booklet was easy for me to follow but would be stressful for someone who’s never really done a lot of furniture building. There are several steps! Several pieces and hardware, it took me 3 days maybe 6 hours total. Putting it together wasn’t the issue, but the craftsmanship was lacking. I am meticulous when unboxing and sorting furniture and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many flaws. Some of it is clearly chipped and touched up over. These are just some of the visible blemishes that can be seen but I found a lot more. I like the piece overall but that was very disappointing and like I said several pieces of furniture bought over the years and never seen such poor finishing. ... show more

Ordered the white queen size murphy bed, arrived timely. Opened the first box and started to take out the pieces when I noticed that two of the large panels have giant cracks in them. Reaching out to the product company and see what resolution is proposed. UPDATE: the seller reached out and has resolved the issue. They will resend the first box (of 2) that the damaged parts came in so that I may pull out the non-damaged (hopefully) pieces I need. Bed is sturdy and has good build quality. Only thing is it came with a few missing metal gliders for the cabinet drawers. The frame also squeaks in certain areas.
