This is almost a 5 star product but it has the same flaw the Dewalt OEM throat plate has. My saw the DWE7491rs, much like the other similar saws in this family has a cloth baffle on the left hand side of the throat. You will need to perform a bit of surgery on this plate to make it fit. You should also know, oddly, the OEM Dewalt plate has the exact same issue. This is less than half the price of the OEM dado plate and is a slightly better quality. They’re both thick plastic. I had to remove a little bit of plastic on the bottom left of the insert where the fabric baffle (or whatever it is called) protrudes a bit. I just marked the are out and used my bandsaw and Dremel to remove the excess. After that little modification it fits like a glove! It’s sturdy and works like it should. ... show more

I would have liked this better if it were metal. Fits as advertised but doesn’t sit exactly flush with table and there’s a little play. The adjustment screws don’t extend far enough.
