Very happy with the engineering and the quality of this product. It was a perfect fit for a multipurpose room and blends in quite well. I have put together many pieces of furniture and the instructions were the best I've seen. I does take a while to assemble(my wife and I did it in about 2 hours after organizing all the parts/pieces), but that's a small price to pay for the value. The bed is heavy in total. If you have to assemble it on a different level from where it was brought into the house, I highly suggest breaking it down and taking several trips. You'll thank me later. The finish is on the fragile side, it won't hold up to abuse, but it is good for our purposes and will last if treated well. Be careful to not hit the edges sharply, it will chip. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make it possible to install the supplied outlet on either side of the bed. This could be accomplished by simply cutting a hole on both side panels to give us a choice and then include a filler to cover the hole that isn't used. I am only mentioning this because the way we have it placed, it is too tight to a side wall and makes the outlet unusable, not a big deal, but this option would have made it close to perfect. The bed arrived in two different deliveries as stated, sadly, one piece was damaged buy the shipper, NOT the seller. The seller was extremely easy to deal with, communicated quickly and resolved the issue without delay. I'm happy to praise good customer service, good design, good value and especially good instructions. Well done.

I know why you're reading reviews right now. You have bought furniture off of Amazon before and you were disappointed. What you received was a pile of Chinese made junk that was difficult to put together and lasted about as long as the gallon of milk in your refrigerator. I've been there and I know how you feel right now. I'll also tell you that the only time I write reviews for a product is when it sucks - this product is worth my time and is the exception... The product arrived in two heavy boxes. The boxes had been damaged in shipping, but it was no big deal as the product was packaged extremely well and the damage never came close to touching the wood inside. A+ on packaging. The instructions were very clear. You can follow them. You don't have to know Hanzi (Chinese Symbols) to figure it out. A+ on the documentation. The hardware was all there. There was at least one extra of every screw. A+ The best part is that everything aligned perfectly. If you have an issue getting things to line up perfectly, you made a mistake. Go back and find it. But everything lines up perfectly and goes right together. No bending, wedging, twisting for anything required. It just works. Fit A+ I'll tell you that if you're looking for an every day bed, this isn't it. If you have the money to buy this product, then you have the money to buy a real bed. Go buy it. This is a sturdy bed, but I wouldn't put it up and down every day. It's a great way to store a bed that needs to be used occasionally. We got this one for our Lake House to sleep extra kids and adults on. If you're worried about buying another piece of garbage off of Amazon, you can go look for another listing. This one will not fit that bill as it's everything you are hoping to find but never knew existed. Just buy it and stop your search right here.

Instructions are very easy! Extra screws, etc. It is fragile wood so be careful if you use a screwdriver. It is very heavy and seems sturdy when pulled out. Overall I'm happy with it. It is very heavy so I would suggest when you get ready to insert the drawers that you have it placed where you want it. I have a mattress that needs to sit for 5 days due to memory foam. Gave it 4 stars since I cannot get on it yet to try it out. Pretty pleased. Took me about 6 hours by myself. It was a 2 day project in the evening. Love the design. QUEEN SIZE.

I recently purchased the AMERLIFE Queen Murphy Bed Cabinet with Charging Station, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision. It took me about seven hours to assemble, but I expected that going in since the manual recommends two people. Most of it I was able to do on my own, but the retracting base assembly definitely requires an extra set of hands. Thankfully, my son came over to help, and once that part was done, the rest went smoothly. I bought this for the room that used to be my children’s bedroom, which I now call my tranquil room. I wanted a space that could be multi‑purpose: peaceful for me day-to-day, yet still able to function as an extra guest room if needed. This Murphy bed is the perfect solution! It gives me a fourth sleeping option in my home without restricting the room to being “just a bedroom.” Before buying, I had compared prices and read tons of reviews across different sites. This one was actually below the price point I originally set, so after the positive reviews and great value, I knew it was the right choice. I did run into one small issue with a retracting rail during assembly, but the seller responded quickly and sent out a replacement right away problem solved. I went back and purchased the queen trifold mattress, which completed the setup perfectly. All in all, this has been a fantastic purchase. Quality product, great customer service, and exactly what I needed for my tranquil space. I’m extremely happy with it!

This cabinet is easy to put together, just takes time. We found it didn't nearly take as long, only about 2 hours with 2 people. But instructions are straight forward. The cabinet is very beautiful and works well but perhaps the best part to me was their customer service. There we just a couple of things I reached out about and they are super prompt to respond and willing to help out. 10 out of 10, no.. 11 out of 10 would buy from this seller!

I was so nervous to order this simple because of the size and the amount of work I thought it would be to put together. I am so glad I chose this one! It is sturdy and well made/designed! I built this 5 months pregnant with the help of 1 other person for the lifting parts. If I had built it all by myself, not pregnant, it probably would have taken me 12 hours because there are so many pieces, but with the help I had including taking breaks, it took about 8 hours. You have to plan for building this. It's not hard, it's just a lot of pieces. The instructions were clear, and easy to follow. Everything was well labeled, so my son and nephew could help bring parts in as we needed them. Once all put together, the base opens easily ( best without an area rug in the room), and the mattress fit perfectly with room to tuck the pillows in the opening as well. We got a 6 inch tri-fold mattress. I love having it as a spare bed for guests that doesn't take up much space in my office.

I so badly wanted to give this a 4 star! I was so impressed by this bed. It did take me alone roughly 5hrs to put together. However, I did contact their customer service that was listed on the instructions manual to bring to their attention about very important and specific flaws in their product. The very end piece cracked (see phone of the part I'm talking about) when I sat at the edge of the bed. The end slider drawer shifted back making that part uneven and because they didn't make a SOLID part, it snapped. I also noticed day one that the 4" mattress I have on this automatically sags between the slats of that part because, once again it's not a solid piece. I will most likely need to get a thin piece of particle board to put on top of it to keep it from sagging. I reached out to the company and they blamed the mattress for being lumpy, not their product for being faulty. I explained and sent them pictures from below and told them to reconsider the design of the bed not just that part but the fact that if you have this bed on a hard surface without a rug of some sort, the base will roll back. They need a locking mechanism to keep that from shifting. It is a great product idea, but their needs to be updates in the design.

Took some time to assemble, but we took our time, and the directions were clear and concise. It is a beautiful, functional and practical piece. Plenty of storage for bedding and tri-fold mattress when the unit is folded up into the cabinet. It seems to be very durable, as well. Recommend using at least a 5 or 6 inch thick mattress with it.
