We love our new frame. It's sturdy, practical, and attractive. Assembly took me 4 or 5 hours but was easy to understand. I recommend having another person and a toolbox to speed up the process. The headboard is difficult to move by yourself. As predicted, it shipped in two boxes with different delivery dates. It's plenty sturdy for everyday use as well as adult activities. I used the little square pads to keep the corners from damaging the walls. Our hidden cabinet's holes were drilled just slightly misaligned so the door isn't level and makes a little contact on one side but is forgivable. It's the perfect place to keep our private accessories hidden and accessible. Lights and power outlet work just fine. Now if we could figure out a way to hide those cords... The drawers are flawed. It's easy to crush your fingers if you're not careful. And if you have cats, they will commandeer the space under your bed and never let you keep them shut. You'll come home to them ajar every day. So that's it. No damage or missing parts. Well worth the money for the style and storage. ... show more

Yes, when you open the box it is somewhat intimidating. Both boxes came the same day. The design, the instructions and the packaging of hardware was clearly marked! The company did a GREAT job making it simple and easy to understand! It took 2 adults 2 hours to complete the build. My husband used an electric screwdriver with an alan wrench attachment, which was so much better than the manual tools provided. We were careful not to over tighten anything! The wood in manufactured wood but it is all attached to a very sturdy metal frame! We like the power plug/usb and the storage! We do light the white option. It comes with a remote, it has a dimmer and option to have the light go off in a specific amount of time. The wire drawers underneath are ok for t-shirts, shorts or jeans ( nothing that could fall through like socks). Be sure to lift and lock into place on the frame. Overall, I think this product is pretty good. I've been using it for a few weeks now and do not notice any issues with sturdiness. I currently have a box spring on it in addition to the mattress. Like another review said, if you have just a mattress, it is likely your comforter will overhang and cover the drawers. That being said, here are a few hints when assembling. Keep in mind, I did this all on my own, I'm sure it'll be easier with more than one person. 1. The boxes come in two stages, which it says on the website. You will not be able to assemble anything until the second box arrives. At least that's the order I got stuff. So, plan on waiting for both to start. 2. The drawers for under the bed are very sharp at the "welds" where the wires connect. So be careful when handling these, it is easy to snag on yourself, at least it was for me. It can also cut pretty easily. I recommend to sand them a bit just to take off the sharpness. 3. I assembled this in stages. For example, assembled the drawers first (even though they are last in the manual), then the frame, then the headboard. It worked fine for doing this and feel it would be helpful for others to know. I also did this over two days just so it didn't get to be too much on one. Day one were the drawers and frame. Day two was the headboard. 4. Step 18 of the manual can be a bit difficult due to the small space you'll be working with. It is manageable but still a tight fit. I believe it was this step but it might have been another so forgive me if it was a step ahead or behind that one. I kind of had fun with the different sections of the headboard. One section I have for my "creative side" and another for my "childhood memories". I still need to figure out what to do with some of the other sections. The product is worth the price I feel. The LED light strip either got pinched, or was faulty. It only lit up 1/3 of the lights. Easy communication with store, and they are having the manufacturer drop ship from the factory. Appreciated. The drawers have a bolt head that clip into a slot of the frame with a slight lift of the drawer. I’m contemplating how I can incorporate a strong magnet to help secure them with ease. I purchased a base to bring mattress height up. The frame has two bolts on the cross member that protrude about a quarter inch on both sides (only in the center) that cause a slight clearance issue with the base. The base is about an 1/8” too wide. I am brainstorming my solution, probably cutting strips of 1/4 plywood for slats/shims. That issue is very specific to the base I utilized. I also purchased a grip tape and applied in a few locations to prevent sliding caused from the smooth finished steel slats. I also adhered it to the feet of the bed. Solid. No movement. Assembly would be easier and quicker with two people. It took me about 6-8 hrs solo. Overall, I am very impressed for the price. It works for our need. ... show more

I bought this bed for my teenager. Delivered promptly, relatively easy to assemble. The instruction photos were easy to follow. The bed is sturdy once assembled. My teenager loves the lights and the built in outlets. My only complaint is there is no kind of edge to hold the mattress in place. The mattress simply sits on top of the frame and sometimes slides out of place. Will have to come up with a DIY to solve this problem. Otherwise, we are happy with the purchase! ... show more
