If they last, these are probably going to be one of my favorite solar lights. I had to tip one toward the ground because it almost blinded me from 15 feet away when the motion detector caught me coming out of the house. The other is on the eave of the roof, it is naturally facing down. Both units seem to pick up motion as far as 15 feet which is fine for where they are located. They are exceptionally bright compare to others in my backyard. The only question remaining is longevity. Will they last more than a few months. I have some that are 5 years old and still performing and I have thrown other away after just a few months because they stopped working for no good reason. Time will tell and review will be updated accordingly for now, it's a 5 stars.

Recommended Easy to install, and the optional long cord allows you to mount the light and solar panel a good distance apart if needed. This is very useful when you need to have the solar panel in a different location that the light itself. Very bright, good motion sensor and multiple operation modes make these very usefully.

I like these lights because I was able to install the solar panel facing south in a sunny place and I was also able to install the lights ten feet away in a covered porch area that does not get much sunshine. I did not have to mess around with hard wiring the lighting, which was a huge relief. I use Mode 2, which leaves the lights on at 30% and then goes to 100% if motion is detected. I have checked the lights in the wee hours of the morning and they were still illuminating after being on for about 9 hours. These lights produce 800 lumens each, so each light produces 240 lumens in 30% mode, total 480 lumens (equivalent to a 5 watt LED bulb), and a full 1,600 lumens when in 100% mode. That means I get sufficient light at low cost, with problem-free installation. The pictures in the description makes these lights seem large, but they are pretty small. They work well in my application because it is an enclosed area.

The media could not be loaded. This is a review of AmeriTop Solar Motion Lights, in a 2 Pack. The item model number is SL-31. The ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number) is B0CCPXVDFM. Each device has a split design, meaning that the light can be mounted separately from the solar panel. As long as the solar panel is fastened in a sunny area, the light can be placed anywhere within the 15’ cord limit. I have a solar powered motion light mounted inside a shed and it is a huge help in finding objects quickly. A mounting bracket at the top of the lamp head allows the solar panel to be fastened directly to the light if desired. The product has a fairly bright output, generating 800 lumens with a cool white color temperature of 6500K. Each LED diode is SMD 2835 LED (2.8mm x 3.5mm in size, Surface Mounted Device). They are about 20% brighter than standard LEDs. The device will shine at night and turn off at sunrise. The sun will charge the battery during the day. There is no remote control. Before mounting the light out of reach, it is necessary to select the lighting mode. To test the 3 modes, make sure the 15’ cord is connected between the light and solar panel. Turn the solar panel upside down. This will make the device think it is nighttime. Each press of the power switch will cycle through the lighting modes. There are three modes: MODE 1: OFF-ON-OFF. The lamp head will glow at 100% brightness for 30 seconds after movement ceases. MODE 2 DIM-100%-DIM. The light is set at 30% brightness. When motion is detected, the light goes full bright, and stays bright until 30 seconds after activity stops. MODE 3 NO MOTION DETECTION. Light stays at 50% brightness for a few hours, then switches to mode 1. Solar powered devices must have direct sunlight in order to operate. This product has a 2200mAh battery, so it should be able to operate the light at mode 1 through a couple of gloomy days. Leave the assembly mounted all year. It is IP65 waterproof, as well as heat and frost resistant. This product is from an Amazon approved small business brand. I try to support small businesses whenever possible. Considering the fact that the assembly has a split design, with 3 lighting modes and putting out 800 lumens, I believe that the 2 pack is selling at a reasonable price.

I put these two up in my back yard, in spots where I've always wanted light but couldn't run power economically. These do a great job of shining light where it's needed, when it's needed, without all the hassle of hardwired lights. The motion sensor is accurate and triggers well before I'm underneath it, and the time delay is perfect for when I'm walking by. It even has a "night-light mode" that provides a low-level of light all the time, brightening up when it senses motion.
