This is a good quality toilet seat, though it’s slightly large for my toilet, so I'll need to make some adjustments for a better fit. The seat has materials for a top or bottom mount, but this wasn't immediately clear since the instructions don’t specify that option. Although I'm experienced with assembling furniture and installing things like faucets and appliances, this was my first time installing a toilet seat. Perhaps if I’d done it before, I would have known right away to choose between top or bottom mounting. Another minor point of confusion was that the instructions included images showing a model with inside release buttons, while my seat had the release buttons on the outside. I understand that instructions often cover multiple models, but this added to the initial confusion. After initially attempting a top mount and then switching to a bottom mount, I eventually figured it all out.
