My Christmas cactus came in perfect condition. I followed instructions for watering to wait 2 days. I started looking up care of cactus. Some very conflicting. Most said to keep in dark place I did for 1 month. I then moved it under plant light. And watered cautiously. It is now beginning of January and my very healthy very full plant has buds all over. I have the grow light on most of the time. It’s been cold but it had been in room just under 70 degrees. I have watered when needed and used Xmas cactus food. Beware of this plant. I bought this plant November 30, 2024. I had been wanting a Christmas Cactus. When it arrived I was already skeptical. It came in a large 6" pot, but the plant itself was just a lot of individual 4" cuttings stuffed in the potting mix, about 20 of them. They were all cut straight across the top right threw the middle of the leaves. I looked on the internet for specific instructions on caring for the plant and followed them to the letter. I did get one flower on the plant and it was beautiful. The only cutting that appeared to grow at all was the one that flowered. Since the plant dropped the flower, all of the other cuttings have been dying. They have not grown at all, just lean over and dye. When I pull them out, there are no roots attached. I now have 2 of the cuttings, I'm hopeful that they will live. I really find it hard to believe that this collection of cuttings which were supposed to be a plant came from a reputable nursery. ... show more

I was skeptical about ordering a live plant through the mail but it was delivered and better than expected. It was well packaged and nice and full. I ordered in February in the Midwest and it’s freezing but it survived the trip.

My beautiful plant is intact, many of the flowers are dead due to the cold. The cold that can't be controlled was the only issue. It is a very Hardy plant. Will buy from again, but might wait until it's a wee bit warmer, lol

I love this plant. It was delivered in very good shape. I watered and let it rest a few days before repotting to a larger container. It is so beautiful and bloomed right around Christmas. I was so thrilled. It is growing and I recommend this little beauty. As I was potting it one little peice fell off which I placed in water and it rooted quickly. This is nothing more than individual leaves stuck in the soil waiting to propagate. It is not a rooted living plant so beware. While it was packaged with plenty of protection, it was not a rooted plant and as it was opened many of the leaves stuck in the soil fell out - no roots at all. Item is not returnable. This price can not be beat for the product I received. It was a full 6 inch pot with healthy mature plants growing within it. It was carefully packaged and little to no soil escaped the pot. Not one segment was loose, wilted, or broken. The only thing that would improve the experience is to have the color or hybrid identification of the plants sent. I am happy to have a beautiful healthy plant. Update Nov 15 2025: Plant is in full bud now. Likely to be a red variety. It will be beautiful for upcoming season. Update Nov 27 2025: Plant buds developed and maturing a beautiful plant. Happy Thanksgiving! Update Dec 13 2025: First bud opened. Gorgeous bright red flower from a deep magenta bud. Merry Christmas!
