This mower works really well. I'd planned to use it on small parts of my 1\4 acre lawn, but I've been cutting the whole yard with it. It's light and easy to carry and maneuver, easier to use, actually, than my gas-powered push mower. It takes a little longer to do the whole lawn because its smaller than the gas mower, and I have to go over some spots twice to cut fully. Also, it will roll over grass and weeds that are too long, but I can fall back on the gas mower when I need to. This mower is quiet, makes a nice soft swish, so I can mow in the early mornings and evenings without bothering the neighbors. It doesn't need gas. Why did people ever stop using these types of mowers? I'm very pleased with it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: No gas, no electricity, just your own muscles. And not really much of those, the blades cruise through grass easily (just don't let it get too tall.)

Mowing the lawn is an annoying chore. After years of paying a service to take care of our yard, we can no longer justify the cost, and are reengaging with our lawn care needs. We needed to reacquire a mower that we had gotten rid of when we got the service. I took a chance on this push mower and even though I've only used it once, I'm totally sold. Here's what I like better about it: 1) It's small - space in our garage and shed is at a premium. Electric and gas motorized versions are way larger, and cumbersome. This is small enough to hang on the wall, without being so light as to seem chintzy or dinky. 2) It doesn't need anything. It doesn't need charging, it doesn't need gas or oil, it just needs sharpening now and then, and it comes with the kit. I haven't done that, so when it becomes necessary, if warranted I will update this review. 3) It WORKS! You have to move at a swifter than pokey clip, but it slices through the grass like a hot knife through warm butter. I was unprepared for how satisfying it was. It makes a nice SSSSSSSsss sound as it goes (unlike motorized versions), and it didn't have difficulty with the few small sticks in my yard that I didn't bother to pick up as other reviews suggested. It went over them without jamming up or even cutting them. If anything doesn't stick up far enough, it doesn't get in the blades. 4) It's fast. When you have to haul our the rig, get gas and oil in it, get it primed up and actually started (my old gas mower was a bear to get actually started), it makes the whole process of mowing a hassle and take too much time. This was done so fast. The only down side is that it leaves the grass as it lies. You can rake it if needed, but it's a little messy. Then again, it's a hassle pulling the bag off of the other kind of mower and dumping it. So as long as the lawn doesn't get overwhelmed with the clippings, I'm okay with this. Overall I'm sold. I'm so glad I got this. I never hear of anyone using these, but I no longer understand why.

We have to maintain a lawn no bigger than 500 sqft so it seemed like overkill to get a powered lawn mower. We got this and it's been a good investment overall. There was a slight learning curve, but once you learn it, it cuts grass pretty evenly and with little effort. It's solidly built though took a bit to put together, especially since the handle grips were such a tight fit. It's a great workout since you do have to make like 2-3 passes to get everything level. You only have to sharpen it every 6-12 months, so upkeep isn't bad at all. Wouldn't recommend this if you can't lift or push something that's 25 lbs.
