It's made with flexible material and isn't easily damaged from falls, running into walls or falling on the floor. When is does the ball automatically turns off to protect it from any damage making very durable for continuous playtime. Hold the ball upright with the "up" sticker pointing upward and shake to turn on the flying Orb. Turn the orb upside down and shake to turn off the orb. I highly recommend it for the whole family. This is the third orb ball i purchased as a gift. Its easy to use and both adults and kids have a LOT of fun playing with it. The colors are vibrant and its quite sturdy (survived a 5 yo dropping a LOT). I recommend it.

Bought this for my 8 yr old grandkid and I believe he'd handle it with the respect it will need. Problem is, I have a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old that will break it for sure. Not their fault, it's just going to get smashed at some point with the excitement it brings. Needs adult supervision imo. It also works well once you get the hang of it...sort of. It requires a finesse that doesn't come with rambunctious children. Still, I like it enough to keep it and play with it when they visit. That's my thought....hope. $34 seems a high price. I do like the plug in charge, but it doesn't really last long. I'm not sure we got a half hour out of it. Fun at night outside - it can knock things down in your house. ... show more

Bought three of these for my kids during Christmas. Don't get me wrong, the kids LOVE them and have a blast throwing them back and forth. They do run out of battery pretty quickly and they are kind of fragile. One small piece on the cage broke and it threw the balance of the ball off, rendering it unusable. My kids are a little young for them (4-8), but my husband and the neighbor have had some fun throwing them back and forth from their yards. I bought 4 of these amazing toys for my adult male family members, after all, all boys like toys. It sure didn't disappoint as they played with THEIR children who were utterly delighted! This amazing ball is so much fun, I would highly reccommend it if you want to have fun with friends and family.
