It sherds the pages to strips cutting them two ways therefore providing the privacy you look for when you shred a document. Steve with Urban Worm Farm recommended this for shredding cardboard. I was amazed at how well this works. I have discovered, however, that there are some boxes too thick for this shredder. If I had a do over, I would have purchased one that does thicker cardboard. I reduce the thickness of the cardboard and then shred it. ... show more
