  • Lightweight and Warm!
Size: Medium Color: Pumice
I bought this coat in a medium size and the cream/ivory color. I wanted it for a family winter outting that would take me from outdoor day fun to inside evening dinner. I layered it with a long sleeve tight shirt with a sweater and added a bulky scarf. I was able to be outside for hours without feeling cold. Temperatures were in the low 40s. It is stylish and comfortable. Easy to move around in, walking, sitting, shopping, etc. I had a little difficulty with starting the zipper but no issues other than that. It is good quality especially for the price! I may get it in black or camel color since it's so cute! I have worn it a few times to work since purchasing. So sitting in the car is comfortable. It is perfect to throw on for generally cold days. Happy with the purchase! ... show more

  • Ok for Spring/Fall.
Size: X-Large Color: Olive
This is advertised as lightweight and it certainly is that. It is NOT a winter jacket unless you live somewhere warm. This will work for Minnesota Fall / Spring evenings that aren’t too windy and I like that because I always struggle finding good ‘in between’ jackets that are long enough to cover my backside and have nice hoods. This jacket has both of those assets. I usually wear an XL or size 12-14 in women’s clothing and this fits nicely with room to spare for a layer beneath. Another nice feature is that the zipper goes nice and high to keep your neck warm. You could easily rock a cozy gaiter beneath and keep your neck pretty toasty. I have to say though, this doesn’t have the feel of a sturdy jacket. I dare say it won’t take much more than rubbing up against a tree or something to tear this fabric, so as I am not the most graceful person sometimes, it won’t likely last long. At this price I wasn’t expecting it to be built like my name brand winter gear, but I was a bit surprised at how thin the outer fabric feels. BUT….I’m actively losing weight and hopefully next Fall this thing will be too large and I won’t feel bad about having trashed it while tromping around outdoors. All in all, it’s a decent enough jacket if you are wanting something cozy, lightweight, long and with a great hood. I would imagine that if you lived somewhere with mild winters this could get you by well enough as a winter jacket. For what I paid I’m content and will be busting it out very soon in the mornings to wear to work when the grass starts getting frosty. ... show more

  • Great jacket
Size: Large Color: Pumice
Took in recent trip and it was warm, convenient, pretty. Doubtful to get it back into the small pouch that comes with it but it rolls up nicely into the hood. The only negative is that the zipper is finicky. Some times it is very difficult to get the zipper up.

  • Bonus pockets
Size: XX-Large Color: Rose
This is a nice jacket that compresses well, suitable for packing in a suitcase. I do not yet know how well this actually works as it is August and temps are in the 100s here. It is for a European trip this winter. I did notice one feature that I would like to share. The outside zippered pocket protrudes to the inside of the jacket with the inner seam fastened down near the main zipper seam. This creates a sleeve like section on the inside front of the jacket. If the manufacturer had sewn the bottom of this sleeve down it would have created 2 pockets on the interior. I placed a strip of canvas tape at the bottom to create these pockets. I wouldn't trust it to anything heavy or valuable like a phone or wallet, but it does make good pockets for something like gloves. ... show more

  • Fit is good, but zipper is problematic
Size: Small Color: Navy
I'm really disappointed how hard the zipper is to use because I liked the coat otherwise. It was really hard to pull the coat down all the way inside the zipper mechanism to line both sides up, so the zipper can work correctly. Then it was hard to pull the zipper up over the bottom of the coat and hard to pull it back down. My hands joints aren't in good shape, and saving money with a cheap coat won't save me money long-term if it makes my hands worse. ... show more

  • Packable, Beautiful Grey Color Hooded Puffy Jacket
Size: XX-Large Color: Charcoal Heather
The hooded puffer must run true to size. I ordered the XXL as Amazon recommended. However the coat is long, it goes to my knees. Sleeves are a tad too long and the overall girth is bigger too. Since Minnesota winters can be extremely cold, with the extra room I will be able to layer up with my long wool cardigan and/or bulky sweaters. I will cuff the sleeves or hem them. The color is beautiful, I like the double zipper on the coat itself and the outside zipper pockets. There are no inner pockets, which is odd since there are the inner fabric pieces on each side, so I will stitch them close midway up. I like that the hood is attached. It is lightweight. It isn't good for 8 degrees below, I believe It will be fine for 30 degrees. Order the size you typically wear, mine is XL, I am a size 14/16. My height is 5' 5.5" ... show more

  • found a bag this can stuff into...
Size: Large Color: Red
downgrading below review to 4 stars. why?: 1. i have worn one coat only a few times, and the zipper is totally messed up. i actually noticed this soon after purchasing but was like 'i'll deal with it, after a few tries i can get it to work.' but .... now it's not working at all. i dont think the other two colors i bought have this problem but i haven't worn them much yet. i suppose they had to put in a lightweight zipper but i wish it worked bc now i have to throw away a pretty new coat. 2. this coat i'm wearing, the green one, has already ripped. the fabric is thin. perhaps this comes with the territory of being ultralight? but my other ultralight jackets by 32 degrees i wear all the time have not ripped. 3. i wrote below how you need to buy a separate bag to pack this in, and i did buy it. unfortunalty i forget to bring it, though i will try attaching it to my other amazon coat (I have this coat in 3 colors). but upon thinking about it, it is really annoying that they just didn't design the coat's bag correctly in the first place, making it much bigger. no one should have to buy a separate bag. i was at the museum of natural history the other day and was so annoyed i could NOT pack the coat into amazon's attached bag (i forgot to bring the separate bag i bought, and yes i should have replaced amazon's bag with mine. but the fact that i am tasked with having to buy a separate bag and replacing amazon's bag with my new one is annoying. i do not have this problem with other brands. i wouldn't buy this again unless they fix the other issues. coat is great, wish it came in prettier colors. i wear a L in sweatpants, dresses, and usually in coats in general i size up to an XL. first i got this in a L and thought it was a bit snug...i looked a bit like a stuffed sausage. then i got it in an XL and it really made me look bigger/bulkier. went back to a L and am satisfied. yes i look a bit like a stuffed sausage but id prefer that than to looking larger. even with the L, i can wear a fleece underneath and still zip it up. cons- -i am almost 5'8. i wish this were about 2-3" longer - it doesnt cover the part of my thighs that i'm not happy with, i have to wear a long t shirt. -the sack it comes with - this coat does not stuff into it. i just got a 32 degree brand jacket and that easily stuffs into the bag it comes with, in several seconds flat. this? no way. fo this coat, i had to buy "Granite Gear AirBags Stuff Sack Set - 2 7L" - i just guessed on the 7 liter size and wham, was lucky, this coat stuffed right into that. wish this came with a bigger stuff sack so i didn't have to buy expensive stuff sacks on my own. -i'm not a fan of the colors. i wish it came in tan, a pink, and a prettier shade of blue. i was kind of shocked they don't have a basic tan color. i can see how people get addicted to these - i am keeping the black, the green, and the red, but i'm not in love with the red, i wish it were more of a cherry red. -i wish this were just a tad more shapely, with a more defined waist and a bit of a flair, but that's just me, i'm super feminine. this isn't bad, it's certainly better than how uniqlo looked on me. i have curves. pros -really is lightweight, and in mid 30 degree weather in NYC, i wore a fleece under this, and was warm enough! this has got me obsessed with the idea of travling light. also when you wear it you can feel the lightweightness of it it's like a freeing feeling. i have a bigger, much heavier down coat and this isn't QUITE as warm as that, so i will save that one, but this definitely makes me feel light and free while still keeping me warm. -pockets are nice, i put my hands in them and they stay warm -portability. again, i was annoyed i had to buy a separate stuff sack for this, but i can see how, when i travel from nyc to florida, it will be really, really nice to be able to stuff this in a little bag rather than schlep it around. so i am keeping these, but i also am going to try the 32 degree brand bc they have longer coats, and one in tan. i'll probably end up keeping ALL of them. just in love. ... show more
