Was looking for a stylish "puffy" jacket that was inexpensive as winter closed in on us and I remembered I had thrown out my old coat the spring before with a broken zipper and tattered sleeves. This one fit the bill and TBH, for the price, I was just hoping to get a season out of it. With spring coming again this coat has been great all winter. Warm enough for the cold Wisconsin weather. It is water "resistant" and I would say that is true only if there is not much water. But it does dry quickly. I've yet to wash it but will before I pack it away. I'll come back and update if it doesn't hold up to the wash but I expect it will and I will be wearing it again next winter. ... show more

I just received it and went outside in a windy 7 degree afternoon. I had trouble keeping the hood up as there is no draw string and and it is sewn on, the top snap helps. It's warm and should be fine to the twenties. Below that give yourself room to layer. Zippers and snaps appear to be better quality than my other chinese made coats as the sliders always go out after about a year. I now keep a jar with zipper sliders for repair. If a jacket separates at the bottom it is almost always a worn slider. ... show more

I have the longer version and wanted something shorter. This did not disappoint. It's just as wonderful as the longer one. Worth every penny and long, long lasting. Doesn't hurt that you can wash/dry it at home.

It's a decent jacket for use in Chicago area during January and February. One caveat is that it's not waterproof; you'll need another layer over this jacket if it's raining. Also, there are no draw strings for the hood. Just make sure to zip it all the way up and the hood should stay put. There's an inside pocket which is suitable for a cell phone as well (velcro enclosure). Outside hand pockets both zip shut. I'd say i like this jacket. ... show more

I was a bit skeptical because of the price and not being a "brand" coat, but after wearing it for the last 2-3 weeks in sub-zero windchill weather, I am quite impressed. It is a very light coat, resembling a windbreaker. However, it does the job very nicely. In some cases, I didn't even need another layer to feel warm. It also protects against wind quite well. The neck area is well covered when buttoning up, and the hoodie provides good wind and snow coverage. I do not feel as restricted movement-wise as with heavier coats, as I do not see the need to layer-up heavily in most weather conditions. The pockets have ample room, and I appreciate the inside wallet/phone pocket (I wish there two though). I am only hoping that the material and build quality is up to par and I hope to enjoy this coat for at least 3 years. Still, at this price, this coat earns an easy recommendation for me. ... show more
