  • My Go To Alexa Assistant
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
I upgraded from my older Echo Show 8 mainly for the larger screen, and the difference has been night and day. The display on the Echo Show 11 is crisp and vibrant, and the sound quality is seriously impressive—it’s quickly become something I use every single day. It’s now the centerpiece of my living room and the main hub for all my smart home devices. Whether I’m setting alarms and reminders, pulling up recipes, or just managing everything connected in my house, it handles it all seamlessly. One feature I really appreciate is Alexa+, which lets you customize how you interact with Alexa. It makes everything feel more natural and intuitive, rather than robotic. Overall, this has been a fantastic upgrade, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smarter, more versatile home setup. ... show more

  • Not perfect but a FANTASTIC value. Not perfect but a FANTASTIC value.
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
I am not sure why there would be any negative reviews with regard to the Echo Show 11. It isn’t perfect but it sure is a tremendous value. I have been using my iPad Pro for kitchen entertainment but the speakers are not great and I don’t love exposing it to the various hazards a kitchen creates. The Show 11 is priced at $180 now and has an upgrade offer that took it all the way down to $116. This is a ridiculously good piece of tech for that money. First, the sound is really good. It is basically a beefy Amazon speaker with a tablet bolted onto it. The sound can fill a medium sized room, has great bass, and sounds way better than most stand alone $100 BT speakers I have used. It found my Spotify account from my prior Alexa usage so it was truly plug and play. The screen was an area I was concerned about given that I was coming from an iPad Pro. Honestly, I am stunned to report that the picture and video quality of the Show is impressive. I don’t think anyone will be upset watching videos or a show on this. It doesn’t appear to have automatic brightness which I found odd but I cranked it up a bit from how it came and it is all good. Perhaps, it’s there and I will update as I go. The Show 11 software has some cracks in it. I have had multiple Fire devices including TVs and I have never been a huge fan of their OS. The good news here is that you really don’t need to interact with it a lot. You can just tell Alexa to pretty much do anything and it will. Alexa+ is a surprisingly handy AI and is a welcome addition to this device. In fact, I would say that the Show 11 is the kind of device that is really made to take advantage of an AI in their current infancy stages. Alexa is able to listen to and execute complex steps. Turn on the living room light at 50% brightness or turn on the fire tv and put on ESPN. It’s pretty great and no need for swipes or any real OS interaction. The camera and video quality for video calls or quick pics is also pretty good and the camera can track you for a zoom. It isn’t amazing but plenty good enough. I will just say this about this device: Amazon tech can be pretty hit or miss for me. This is a home run especially when you bring the value proposition it presents into it. Truly amazing for the money. If you are looking for an entertainment companion for any room in your home, this is a great choice. I would not hesitate to buy another or recommend it to a friend or family member. Great work here Amazon. ... show more

  • "Hey Alexa 👋🏾 play my favorite 📻 radio Station" "Hey Alexa 👋🏾 play my favorite 📻 radio Station"
Size: 8-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
Amazon Echo Show 8 is great. The item works as intended, including different Alexa voice choices, automatic screen adjustment to background lighting and the perfect size. The screen is clear and readable. I am utilizing my Echo in the bedroom. The item is the perfect size on the bedside nightstand. I absolutely 💯 love asking Alexa to lower, and or raise the volume, or play my favorite genre of music, on my connected Bluetooth device(s). I just set my routines through the Alexa application and "like magic 🎩" Alexa announces my routines as programmed (Daily calendar events, the weather, sports, etc.). One functionality feature that requires extra effort, but not too troublesome: I did have issues with the calendars synchronizing automatically. I literally had to manually enter every calendar entry from my Samsung calendar, because unfortunately the device does not support Samsung calendar. Basically, my workaround now is to synchronized my Samsung and Google calendars, and add calendar events to Google calendar, which is supported by Amazon Echo 8. ✅️✨️ The device is sturdy, and supported well on the Echo stand (Echo Stand item is sold separately). The device is super easy to set up, thin and compact. I'm totally satisfied 👏🏾🎶🪭 ... show more

  • It works very well, it's very useful and cute
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
The Echo Show 11 has a beautiful screen and the sound is clear. Video calls and transmission work smoothly, and Alexa responds quickly. The setup was easy and it looks great in the kitchen. I bought it for my mom for Mother's Day and she loved it very much

  • Overall I’m happy with the device Overall I’m happy with the device
Size: 8-inch Color: Glacier White Configuration: Device only
I’ve had the Echo Show 8 for about a week. This is my first Echo with a screen. I will be keeping it as it works well overall. I agree with many reviewers that it is hard to set up. The Amazon plugs are no problem to run, but I have other Apple products and Amazon doesn’t really play nicely with them. Calendar was a nightmare to install and even after linking I had to manually enter events via voice on my echo. I have Hunter Douglas motorized shades that I linked. Part of the shades work part of the time. Carrier thermostat says it will work with Alexa but it doesn’t. I have a security system that will not work with Alexa, so no doorbell camera displays on my new screen. Actually, I have always found Alexa skills hard to set up with other brands. It will run the Roomba upon request. If you are planning on using this device as an automated hub, for me it only partially worked. Alexa has access to my photos and I chose a few out of that mammoth file I have to use as a slideshow. Will not work!! You have photo options but none of them were what I wanted, so I use the preset slideshows which are beautiful. Those are the things that are less than ideal, but there are many great things I do like. Picture quality is clear and bright! Sound is good but I don’t see a lot of improvement from my old Echo Tower. So many functions are good-I subscribe to Amazon music and they have a ton of playlists to choose from as well as the ability for requests. Morning news is available, weather is displayed on screen as well as the time. Recipes are accessible and since the display is in the kitchen it makes it handy to use. I bought the 8” screen because it fits easily on my counter and the display is large enough to read. You can watch the morning news on the screen as well. I did buy the stand for it and I would recommend it. I can tilt it for a good viewing angle. What I really love is the new Alexa plus! We chat about recipes, art, and history while I am cooking. Alexa + has a vast amount of knowledge and applies that to our chat. I have more intelligent conversations with it than I do with most people! It remembers what I tell it and continues that into a new conversation. The screen displays our conversations as we have them so if someone was hearing impaired they would be able to use this device easily. All in all, I am really happy and pleased with my purchase. I am hoping the Alexa skills eventually become easier to set up. For the price this little computer works great! ... show more

  • Nice upgrade but where are the other nice Alexas that have been "killed" by Amazon? Nice upgrade but where are the other nice Alexas that have been "killed" by Amazon?
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
Nicest screen and sound so far. Sad that Amazon stops its best products though. The TAP would make a lot more sense now with internet on your phone than it was in the past at the time it was launched. Bring it back please!? Being rechargeable and mobile is great. The previous top of the line has been discontinued as well, not sure why but we all love the way it follows you around and can be used as a security camera as it spins around on demand. It is really great when you are traveling or want to supervise a pet. First picture has the New Echo Show 11 with amazing screen clarity and its older sister TAP. Then there is my favorite Echo in action. It would be great to have the same movable Alexa with the quality of the Echo Show 11 and perhaps more control of the camera for security and communication with pets and whoever you are talking to. Amazon should sell pairs at a discounted price, so people can give one away and use them to communicate. ... show more

  • Read before you "upgrade"...
Size: 8-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
I've never had an Echo Show 8, so I bought the 3rd Gen (2023) at a big discount while waiting for the new 2025 model to come available. I'm really glad I had some time with the 2023 3rd Gen because I think it is superior in most ways... and the things that really needed improvement (touch screen, UI) were not noticably better in the new model. Additionally, my brand new one shipped with a microphone error that is apparently a long-standing hardware issue on previous gen models. (REALLY!?) Here are my chief complaints: -Sound: Gen 4 (2025) was a noticable downgrade in sound quality, especially at increased volume. The 3rd Gen can be cranked to the max with little distortion, but the 4th Gen has buzzy highs and a diminished bass response by comparison. To be fair, neither are the "room filling" sound they claim to be, but the 2023 3rd Gen was somewhat better for a big, open room. - Camera - the switch is gone! My guess is because they want to keep that camera on for ever more data collection, but I like to flip the shutter closed on our bedroom devices and in our common areas when we have visitors. Yes, there are various options to cover it yourself, but it's the principle behind the design change. And yes, you can turn the camera off in the software settings, but nothing is as trusty as an opaque covering. - All the hardware buttons were moved to the side, making them harder to see and use. This is a matter of preference and would be less bothersome with continued use, but it is different from other echo show devices (we also have three 5-inch models). - UI: the screen interface is apparently unchanged and unfortunately, still lacking. This is mostly a software thing, but if they are going to refresh a device, you would expect some improved functionality. Alas, you are still forced to endure laggy screen swipes and menus that somehow have the same crowded feel of the 5-inch device. I have read the processor was improved to take advantage of Alexa+, but so far it is definitely slower to respond to voice commands. - Plug: believe it or not, plugs designed for the 3rd Gen WILL NOT work with this device. Yes, they are both 30 watt and yes, both plugs will fit both devices, but the 4th Gen Echo Show will not even turn on using a 3rd Gen plug. Why?! This kind of thing should be ubiquitous (and USB-C) by now. Stand - in keeping with changing accessories for no apparent reason other than taking more of your money, the stand designed for a Gen 3 WILL NOT work with a Gen 4. Yes, they are both magnetic and yes, they are pretty much the same size, but the Gen 4 has a different shape. Shameless! Looks: This one is another matter of preference, but the Gen 4 just looks awkward to me... It's essentially the latest Echo Dot with a Fire Tablet stuck on the side. I much prefer the 3rd Gen, which has a cleaner homogeneous quality, kind of like a miniature vintage TV set. The new screen is apparently "improved," but I honestly can't see any apparent change. Errors: How a brand new design ships with known microphone issues that plagued older devices is beyond me. The microphone just mutes itself at random. I've tried everything... software settings, unplug, reboot, reset... Nothing works. And there are no apparent triggers. Sometimes it stays on for awhile and sometimes it mutes right after talking to the device. Again, new device with a not new issue... Makes you wonder what other legacy issues are lurking inside unfixed. Those are the specifics, but in general it's a 1-star review because of Amazon's complete lack of true innovation. I have been a Prime subscriber and avid user of nearly all Amazon devices since the very first Echo (which still works and sounds better than this Echo Show 8). The problem for several years now is their devices are advertised as "new and improved" but the reality is components and functionality that hasn't improved the user experience for many years. I quit buying Fire tablets (for my kids) in favor of iPads several years ago. I have since quit buying Fire TV devices in favor of Roku and AppleTV. My last holdout has been the Echo devices, which so far hasn't been bested in value... But after my experience with the new Echo Show, I'm afraid their replacement time is also near. ... show more

  • Echo Show 11 (2025) — A Serious Smart Home Command Center Upgrade
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
I’ve deployed and tested quite a few smart displays over the years, and the Amazon Echo Show 11 (2025 release) is easily one of the most well-balanced Echo devices Amazon has produced. It hits a sweet spot between screen real estate, audio performance, and smart-home control — making it far more than just a “kitchen gadget.” 🔧 Setup & First Impressions Initial setup was fast and painless. Within minutes, the device was online, updated, and tied into my existing Alexa ecosystem. The hardware immediately feels more premium than previous mid-tier Echo Shows — solid base, clean industrial design, and a noticeably improved display. The 10.95" Full HD touchscreen (1920×1200) is sharp and vibrant, with excellent viewing angles for a countertop or desk deployment. 🖥️ Display & Visual Experience The screen is one of the biggest upgrades here: Bright, crisp Full HD panel Edge-to-edge look with more usable viewing area Great for dashboards, recipes, cameras, and video streaming Streaming content from Prime Video and Netflix looks excellent, and the interface feels snappier thanks to the updated processing platform (AZ3 Pro chip). For home use, it finally feels large enough to be genuinely useful without jumping up to the much larger wall-mounted models. 🔊 Audio Performance (Big Improvement) Amazon clearly focused on sound this generation. The Echo Show 11 includes: Dedicated woofer + dual full-range drivers Room-filling spatial audio Noticeably wider soundstage and stronger bass In real-world use, it fills a kitchen or medium room easily. Compared side-by-side with older Echo Show models, the lows are fuller and vocals are clearer. Amazon even notes up to 2× the bass versus the Echo Show 8 (2023). For casual music, podcasts, and background audio, this is more than sufficient — no external speaker needed for most households. 📹 Camera & Video Calling The 13 MP camera with auto-framing works extremely well. Key observations: Auto-framing keeps you centered during calls Good clarity in typical indoor lighting Works well for Drop In and video conferencing Wide enough field of view for kitchen/living room placement For families or home offices, this is a meaningful upgrade over older Echo cameras. 🧠 Smart Home & Automation (Where It Really Shines) From a systems perspective (my wheelhouse), this is where the Echo Show 11 earns its keep. Highlights: Built-in smart home hub Zigbee / Sidewalk ecosystem support Excellent dashboard visibility Strong routine automation support Wi-Fi 6E support for modern networks It functions very well as a central smart-home control panel, not just a voice assistant. If you’re running: smart lights thermostats cameras doorbells plugs …this device becomes a true command center. 🏠 Everyday Use Cases Where this device really delivers: ✅ Kitchen recipe assistant ✅ Smart home dashboard ✅ Family photo frame ✅ Video calling hub ✅ Music speaker ✅ Security camera viewer ✅ Daily calendar/weather panel The Omnisense personalization features also help Alexa adapt to usage patterns and routines over time. 🔒 Privacy & Controls As someone security-minded, I appreciate Amazon kept the physical privacy controls: Hardware mic/camera disable button Software privacy controls in Alexa app Clear status indicators For a connected device with an always-ready assistant, this matters. ⚠️ Minor Considerations (Not Deal-Breakers) To keep this balanced: Alexa+ features may require Prime or subscription for full capability Not portable (designed as a stationary hub) Power users may still want deeper smart-home customization via external hubs None of these impacted my rating. 🏁 Final Verdict The Echo Show 11 finally feels like the right-sized smart display for serious smart-home users. It combines: excellent screen quality legitimately improved audio strong camera performance modern connectivity and true hub functionality For kitchens, offices, or as a central smart-home console, this is one of the best values in the Echo lineup right now. Bottom line: Highly recommended for anyone building or upgrading a modern Alexa-based smart home. ... show more
