I absolutely love this Echo Show 11. The large screen is very clear, and the sound quality is excellent. It’s perfect for watching videos, video calls, and controlling smart home devices. It’s very easy to set up and use, and Alexa responds quickly. I use it every day for music, recipes, weather, and more. The design looks modern and fits great in my home. • Echo Show 11 (2025) — A Serious Smart Home Command Center Upgrade
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
I’ve deployed and tested quite a few smart displays over the years, and the Amazon Echo Show 11 (2025 release) is easily one of the most well-balanced Echo devices Amazon has produced. It hits a sweet spot between screen real estate, audio performance, and smart-home control — making it far more than just a “kitchen gadget.” 🔧 Setup & First Impressions Initial setup was fast and painless. Within minutes, the device was online, updated, and tied into my existing Alexa ecosystem. The hardware immediately feels more premium than previous mid-tier Echo Shows — solid base, clean industrial design, and a noticeably improved display. The 10.95" Full HD touchscreen (1920×1200) is sharp and vibrant, with excellent viewing angles for a countertop or desk deployment. 🖥️ Display & Visual Experience The screen is one of the biggest upgrades here: Bright, crisp Full HD panel Edge-to-edge look with more usable viewing area Great for dashboards, recipes, cameras, and video streaming Streaming content from Prime Video and Netflix looks excellent, and the interface feels snappier thanks to the updated processing platform (AZ3 Pro chip). For home use, it finally feels large enough to be genuinely useful without jumping up to the much larger wall-mounted models. 🔊 Audio Performance (Big Improvement) Amazon clearly focused on sound this generation. The Echo Show 11 includes: Dedicated woofer + dual full-range drivers Room-filling spatial audio Noticeably wider soundstage and stronger bass In real-world use, it fills a kitchen or medium room easily. Compared side-by-side with older Echo Show models, the lows are fuller and vocals are clearer. Amazon even notes up to 2× the bass versus the Echo Show 8 (2023). For casual music, podcasts, and background audio, this is more than sufficient — no external speaker needed for most households. 📹 Camera & Video Calling The 13 MP camera with auto-framing works extremely well. Key observations: Auto-framing keeps you centered during calls Good clarity in typical indoor lighting Works well for Drop In and video conferencing Wide enough field of view for kitchen/living room placement For families or home offices, this is a meaningful upgrade over older Echo cameras. 🧠 Smart Home & Automation (Where It Really Shines) From a systems perspective (my wheelhouse), this is where the Echo Show 11 earns its keep. Highlights: Built-in smart home hub Zigbee / Sidewalk ecosystem support Excellent dashboard visibility Strong routine automation support Wi-Fi 6E support for modern networks It functions very well as a central smart-home control panel, not just a voice assistant. If you’re running: smart lights thermostats cameras doorbells plugs …this device becomes a true command center. 🏠 Everyday Use Cases Where this device really delivers: ✅ Kitchen recipe assistant ✅ Smart home dashboard ✅ Family photo frame ✅ Video calling hub ✅ Music speaker ✅ Security camera viewer ✅ Daily calendar/weather panel The Omnisense personalization features also help Alexa adapt to usage patterns and routines over time. 🔒 Privacy & Controls As someone security-minded, I appreciate Amazon kept the physical privacy controls: Hardware mic/camera disable button Software privacy controls in Alexa app Clear status indicators For a connected device with an always-ready assistant, this matters. ⚠️ Minor Considerations (Not Deal-Breakers) To keep this balanced: Alexa+ features may require Prime or subscription for full capability Not portable (designed as a stationary hub) Power users may still want deeper smart-home customization via external hubs None of these impacted my rating. 🏁 Final Verdict The Echo Show 11 finally feels like the right-sized smart display for serious smart-home users. It combines: excellent screen quality legitimately improved audio strong camera performance modern connectivity and true hub functionality For kitchens, offices, or as a central smart-home console, this is one of the best values in the Echo lineup right now. Bottom line: Highly recommended for anyone building or upgrading a modern Alexa-based smart home. ... show more

  • big upgrade, great quality.
Size: 11-inch Color: Graphite Configuration: Device only
The sound quality is amazing. I used my older version for music, radio and podcasts daily. I thought the sound was good enough on the old one. This new version is so much better! The screen is several inches larger and the picture quality is very clear. I highly recommend. We stream old TV shows, movies and more on this. We use the music feature daily and love the new rich sound. ... show more

  • Looks nice, but basic functionality isn't there.
Size: 8-inch Color: Glacier White Configuration: Device only
Update: Amazon read my review and contacted me about trying to get this thing to work correctly. We finally made contact and they offered to call me to offer technical support. THAT CALL NEVER CAME. I sent a follow-up email to ask why are they are not calling and still received no response. This is Amazon standing behind their products 🙄 Original review: I couldn't be more disappointed with this device. And that's saying a lot because it's basically an 8-in tablet with web browser and a Bluetooth speaker, so I genuinely see the value of that for $150...and yet, to me, still not worth it. I will be returning this... Unboxing and setting up the device was horrible. Start up the echo show and there's a QR code to work with the Alexa app on your phone and yet you don't get the feeling like these two things are working as one. The user interfaces between the app and the device should be close to the same. Navigating the selections was terribly disappointing. The layout was not intuitive. It was very difficult to find things that I needed to find and change and that's even if a setting was available. Once you finish doing set up on the app you still have to go back to the tablet to do some things for the setup. Kudos to Amazon for NOT understanding that customers no longer remember their passwords and there should be other ways to get into devices. All of that said, the login, put in a password then have to go to your email to get a code and then put the code in and then once that's done there's some other thing where you have to put an additional code in and then you have to put in your Amazon password Even after all of that????? AWFUL. Unfortunately when it comes to the functionality, interface, software build, Amazon hired a group of chimps who just couldn't get this thing figured out. They shot for the moon and completely sidestepped some very simple things. For starters, you go from the home screen to any other screen and it goes back to the home screen in 30 seconds of inactivity - absolutely inexcusable to not have a user setting like you would on a phone where you can set the time to 5 minutes or 10 minutes or 20 minutes of inactivity before it goes back to the home screen. This absolutely boils my blood because I play with the echo a little bit, turn my head to watch a little bit of TV for a minute, turn back and My progress is gone. I have to go through the tree again to get back to the screen that I was on. Next, way too many problems with Spotify. I chose to link my phone to the tablet and Spotify music started playing on the tablet from my phone. The music player screen came up on the echo 8 screen, so I asked Alexa to take me to the home screen (which it should default to anyway through the settings). It did take me to the home screen but then a few seconds later defaulted back to the music playing screen. I kept going to different screens and it would just keep going back to the music player screen. I did a Google search for a fix and it tells me to unlink Spotify from my phone, which I really shouldn't have to do, but then when I go into that setting, Spotify is not listed as one of the music apps, so how do I unlink Spotify if it's not there? While I would use the echo show 8 for multiple things, a huge reason for buying this was to have a premium alarm clock. Amazon, what were you thinking?????? First of all, each alarm that you set is not customizable to the sound that you want to hear. You have to choose one alarm notification sound and that is the one you are stuck with for all alarms. Next, what if on Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays I have to wake up at a different time than Thursdays and Fridays....and I like to set multiple alarms instead of hitting snooze for each of those two sets of days. How do you not have alarm groupings by days that I can activate group A or group B. This is a very common thing among smart alarms these days and you people missed the boat. Not having the ability to customize settings for the home screen, again, is inexcusable. I just want one screen with date, time and temp and I don't want it to automatically scroll through multiple screens. It's fine if you have to dim it for inactivity or perhaps make it go black while one is sleeping but then it should wake up when I wake up and senses activity.....but nope, another example of your lack of understanding of how people live their lives. Under "music and more" you can play soundscapes of nature which is nice to relax and to use to fall asleep. So what would be the smart thing to do so we didn't have to have that playing all through the night? That's right, how about a timer so it goes off after an hour? Spotify has one for their app so you can set a timer to turn the app off - not Amazon. Again I'd like to stress how terrible the interface is and navigating around to find things. I'm just dumbfounded at how dumb I found this thing to be. Needless to say, I will be returning this, which pains me because I had such high hopes for this thing. The echo team just is not cutting it and should be replaced. ... show more
