    • Perfect replacement for my old Moen trim.
I purchased this to update my shower setup and replace what is roughly a 20 year old trim kit with a loose/worn out handle. I also replaced the cartridge while I was at it. It was a direct replacement for my old one. The one minor challenge was that the mounting screws are a bit shorter than my old screws and my valve appears to be mounted a bit further back. I ended up using the old screws but the newer ones probably would have worked with a little finesse. It came with all the necessary pieces to mount the trim ring, temperature stops and handle. It looks fantastic and works tons better than my old one. It is a Moen OEM product so this isn't a surprise. ... show more

This is what I expected, OEM product, install was easy and it works fine. The problem I have is with the supplier, it was a returned product that had been opened and not even packaged back up correctly. Shouldn’t charge me for a new item when it’s been sent to someone and they returned it. I can tell the customer bought this as part of a full shower/tub kit because one of the parts for the shower head was in this box. That’s what the picture is of. ... show more

This item arrived packaged very well and in perfect condition. The cost is a little more than I would've liked but it was the only thing with its finish in this price range that looked like I wanted. Installation went off without a hitch. Pay attention to the order you take things off in and, as long as you have bought the right type of handle setup for your shower, installation is the exact same. Once installed and tightened down it is a sturdy fixture and there is a gasket on the inside to help prevent water from seeping behind it any into your walls. The handle itself is very smooth to operate as does not wiggle at all once the set screw is tightened. I recommend you replace the valve underneath if you're replacing an old worn out unit or if you're having problems (advance warning, that job is usually an absolute pain with the tool, impossible without) at the same time. Do that, and it is butter smooth to open and close and delivers good, consistent water. We bought this with its matching shower head and are very pleased. ... show more
