This is a good cheaper substitute. However, they are bigger and obviously don’t taste as good as the name brand product. But they seem to work.

    • This has been a lifesaver for our dog

We have 3 pit bulls (a 4 year old and 2 that are 2 years old). We have had the 2 year old "kids" since they were born. At only 6 months old, our 2 year old female hurt one of her hind legs. When it didn't get better after about a week we took her to the vet. The x-rays showed that even though she was so young, she has hip dysplasia. She got better, but still favored the leg and when running would often do the 3 legged run. The hip with the problem lost muscle mass and didn't seem like it had much chance of improving. We stared using Wag Hip & Joint Chewable Tablets twice daily and we couldn't believe how much difference it made. First she started to use the leg more and seemed to be in less pain. Over a couple of months she started getting muscle back and strength. She's been taking it for over a year now and you can't even tell which hip has the problem. She is super strong despite being only about 45 pounds and we have to be very careful not to leave her unsupervised in the back yard because she will jump the 5 foot fence with no problem if she gets bored--just goes to show how well she is doing now. ... show more

I wish they made pill size equal to the dogs. We have a Maltese and a maltipoo. This was a waste of money for our family because neither dog would even try because of the 1) size and 2) the smell.

Both of my girls will eat it first out of their bowl before touching their food. They love the taste and we’ve noticed a difference! Both girls have been plagued with random injuries since they were pups. A fall here, a roll there, and they’d have a limp for a few hours or days. We haven’t had any injuries since we started giving them these. We have two Aussies so they play together and run a lot with high energy and high drive.     • My dogs did not like these tablets

Of 9 medium to small dogs, 5 wouldn't even put these in their mouth and 2 dropped them right away. Their scent is not good. The directions say half tablet for smaller dogs but the tablets do not break in half despite having a score mark. Cutting causes them to crumble. I can't think of any good points about these supplements. I will not buy them again and can only use them with the our 2 dogs who are also known to eat poo, rocks and crayons (if given the opportunity). Not recommended. ... show more

My dog takes these no issue. She is smaller so she gets a half a pill a day. I had to get a pill divider to split these in 2. The more famous brand did not have that problem, you could divide them in half with your hands.
