I ordered this lamp at an Amazon warehouse price point and am very happy with the lamp. However, I can't say that I would pay full price for it. Despite measuring before ordering I agree with the other reviews that state it is smaller than expected. I think it's because the lampshade is disportionate to the base, if the base was just a tad taller it would be more to scale. It's easy to assemble, very sturdy, and I love that it came with the bulb. I do think it's important to note that the max wattage for the bulb is 10 watts, so if you are looking for a lamp that gives off a lot of light, this is not it. I frequently order Amazon brands and it's right on par with the quality I've come to expect. It's very asthetically appealing and I am considering ordering the floor lamp version for our family room. This was a great buy. Redecorating my family room in modern farmhouse and this was the perfect addition for the corner next to my chaise. It gives off a lot of light so I use it for reading. Its pretty versatile as I could see it fit with industrial, modern, craftsman, mid-century and farmhouse decor. I remember seeing negative comments about the way the shade ships but I had no problem putting it together and I can't tell the difference between it and any other drum lamp shade that comes assembled. ... show more

We use these as bedside lamps. (For reference, the nightstand top is 23" long by 18.5" wide.) They're a great size, were easy to assemble, and provide a bright amount of light. We liked that the style has enough of mission / arts and crafts / art deco that they fit our decor. (Renovating a Victorian home built in 1904.) The cord comes through a leg, which is nice. Both lamp and shade seem relatively sturdy, even though they're pretty light weight. The legs have plastic feet, with 2 feet also having a bit of felt-like material, to prevent scratching the surface you put them on. There are some minor quality defects on both lamps. A bit of paint bubbling on the legs of both, and the "saddle" for the shade and finial doesn't set correctly into its holders on one lamp. Neither is a major issue for us, since you can't see the saddle problem normally with the shade on (and I was able to get the shade level), and the bubbling isn't very noticable in most circumstances. My major grievance with the lamps was actually the packaging. An enormous amount of styrofoam packing, difficult to get the styrofoam cubes out of the boxes, and then 4 separate stickers on each lamp with sticky adhesive requiring Goo Gone to get rid of. This lamp has a great, modern design that's enough to be a striking complement to your room, but not too much so. It makes a statement without being outrageous. I'm no handyman, but the assembly took me no time at all. Definitely a lot cheaper than other modern lamps you'd fine elsewhere, and since it's a solid addition to my living room, it definitely feels worth every penny. Definitely recommend. ... show more

My wife and I saw a similar-looking/style lamp at a fancy name-brand interior design place for five-hundred dollars. We liked it but were not going to pay that for one lamp. Fast forward to the next Amazon browse and whadda ya know? A lamp that has a similar look and is 20% the price. With cautious optimism, we pulled the trigger on this lamp. Amazed by the fact that this lamp arrived flat packed and had a shipping weight of 8 lbs, we opened the box... Super-lightweight construction but not really bad... The surprising thing was really the included lampshade. It arrives rolled up like a hand towel. Once assembled, It is held together with pretty much fairy dust and moonbeams. A sturdy (but really thin) hook and loop strip at top and bottom of the rolled shade material will attach the unrolled shade to two also very skinny hoops. I had my doubts about this thing right up to the point I put the lamp in place... Overall, it looks as advertised and does work really well. The shade is holding just fine after a couple of weeks and will probably survive. If I could improve it at all, I'd start with increasing the height from 59" to 62" - but with a switch that is up by the bulb, 59" is probably easier for most people to reach from a seated position. ... show more

I LOVE my two new Stone & Beam Deco Floor Lamps. They're a stunning accent to my living room design. However, the bulbs are not as bright as I might have wanted. I bought two of these lamps to put on the bedside tables in the master bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these, considering how low the price is. They look great and they work great. The lamp base material is like a heavy plastic (?) so it's pretty light weight. But you would never be able to tell just by looking at it.
