I needed a new boxspring for my guest room bed, and all I could find in my searches were these metal boxsprings that you had to assemble yourself. I'd never tried them before but this had good reviews so I went with it. The boxspring is sturdy, it was a good price, and arrived pretty quickly. I would not recommend building this in a small space as it is kind of difficult to maneuver by yourself when you're putting all the bars in. The metal slats are overall pretty easy to install, but I noticed 2-3 of the slats were a weird size. Either they were a bit short and barely fit in the slats on the side, or they were too very long and a tight fit. Once the metal slat has been 'clicked' into the sides, forget about ever taking it out again. I tried swapping a short slat with a regular slat so that the short slat could be in the middle, and the long slat I wanted to swap it with would not come out, and I ended up breaking the slat in my attempt to remove it. So now there's a missing piece! Long story short - this is a great and affordable box spring, but you can't afford to make a single mistake when building it, it's not really intended to be disassembled at all. ... show more

Always dreading going to the mattress store to buy mattresses or box springs (with their annoying sales pitches, finding time to go, deliver fees, etc.) , I decided to try my luck with one of these self assembly ones. Without a doubt one of the best things I've ever bought on Amazon. Box that arrived was small and assembly literally took 13 min with zero tools required. Fitment was perfect and super solid. Included cover was easy to put on as well. If I ever need to take it out, disassembly will be easy for transport or storage. Everything about it was flawless. I was hesitant to purchase this product. So many reviews focused on how easy it was to put together and not many on the comfort or sturdiness of the product. In the end it made the most sense for me, both in cost and delivery. Assembly was a super simple, even for one person. After sleeping on it for two months now and I have no complaints. I must say I was skeptical when ordering this Box spring bed base. I’m from the old school. You have the mattress and the box springs. I had no ideal about a metal base. I’m sold on this type base. Easy assembly, I don’t have too worry about vacuuming the old fashioned box springs or getting bed bugs in it. It comes with a all around zipper cloth bag that is a breeze too slip the base inside. Zip it up and you’re done. It’s even washable when spring cleaning. I think you will like this type of box spring too. ... show more
