The media could not be loaded. I can’t believe the quality of this mattress. I have been shopping for a King-sized mattress for weeks, at all the regulars (Mattress Firm, furniture stores, etc) as well as on-line. Was replacing a 14 year-old $2,000 mattress (no mattress is forever). After much personal debate, I decided to save $1,500 and try out this well reviewed Amazon Basics. OMG, this thing is fantastic. The quality, fell of materials and heft of the 123 lb mattress is simply outstanding. No, I have not slept on it yet (room in state of make-over). But the two of us have napped, sprawled out and done the initial test of the bare-mattress. SOLD. I weigh about 190 lbs, am a 70% back sleeper and 30% side. This feels fantastic in either position. The mattress under the pillow top (which get reviewed as being firm in its 12 inch thick iteration) has a nice med-firm to firm feeling of support - and when on my back, feels fantastic and supportive. But side-sleeping or back sleeping will embrace the 1 1/2 inch built-in topper that takes away the pressure points. the material of the mattress surface feel so amazing, it is a shame to put sheets and mattress protector over it. It feels absolutely luxurious - like satin meets silk to the touch. You can see the material in the video I posted. If I don’t get back to this review to edit, it is because I continue to love this mattress and its quality. The mattress takes two to move to your location (at least for king size). It is amazing how compact it is on arrival. The box was significantly damaged in shipping - and I think that is simply because it is a beast to handle and move - and the solo driver on the deliver truck simply can’t move this around without damaging and ripping the box. But know that the mattress will be fine. Not only is it in the air-tight wrapper for compression - it is then folding in half - )top edge meets foot of bed) and rolled. Then wrapped twice in two heavy-gauge wraps of plastic before placing in the box. You could throw this in the pool when wrapped, and the mattress would be just fine. Think of it logically, if the packing gets compromised/punctured in a way that contacts the mattress, it is going to expand like an emergency escape slide on an aircraft, and the driver will never get it out of his truck. Final quality point is that if this mattress didn’t have a “Amazon Basics” tag, and I viewed it in a showroom, I ABSOLUTELY would believe this to be a $2,000 Stearns and Foster. Buy with confidence (then enjoy a well deserved COVID vacation with the $1,500 you save).

I've allowed this mattress to expand for about a day and a half. I've rolled around on it to test it out, and so far these are my impressions. - It's a bit too soft, more of a plush than "medium." - There is virtually no edge support, which imparts a feeling of sliding off the farther away from the middle you are. - There is also a particular odor which has not left the mattress since opening. The materials seem of decent quality, and I have not slept on the mattress yet so I'll update if I'm wowed after doing so, but that seems doubtful at the moment. Lastly, once open, I don't believe there is any option to return and you will not be able to put this mattress back in the box it came in, or any box for that matter.

The mattress is a decent quality with some issues, maybe in Quality Control at the plant. I'm not 100% sure it's the correct, 13.5 premium mattress as the tag says size 80x60x12 and it has not expanded to 13.5" as shown in my photo with the tape measure. The mattress is comfortable enough. No more or less pain, it's my first hybrid/foam of any kind mattress, my previous I am replacing is a very expensive posture pedic pillowtop. It's good enough I will keep it if the flaws I've photographed in the stitching do not spread; there is several long threads and stitching coming out of corners in the top stitched diamonds as shown in the photographs. The quality of materials seems excellent and maybe the factory should be watching for these threads and fixing them. I will be able to return until March according to my order so I will see how it goes with that and decide later if it will need to be returned. The mattress came last week and I've had it around a week, there was no noticeable smell after opening from the second night when we slept on it. The comfort level is good, though I'm not used to foam I am fine with the medium comfort (I know I don't like firm) and the way I sink in a little to the foam. I am not hot or cold on this mattress. It was a good price, but I've checked and neither of my other regular spring mattress one with a pillow top has the loose strings and they are several years old so that is a bit concerning and the size not being as advertised has my rating it 3 stars. Without the loose threads and if the size had been the advertised 13.5" I would have gone with 4 or 5 stars. Sleep Quality, pain relief and comfort are all fine if not exceptional, so 4 stars but with quality and possibly in the incorrect mattress due to size, I can only give it 3 stars over all.

This mattress was supposed to be of medium firmness, but it was way too soft. The sides sunk in when we would roll over near the edge, and I always felt like I was going to fall off the bed. Because of that awful feeling, I slept so tense and would wake up in terrible pain. I also have psoriatic arthritis, so my back and hips hurt a lot. If you have back issues, this might not be a good fit. We even tried a mattress topper, but the mattress just isn’t firm enough.

When I first received it seemed as if it didn’t inflate to the full size it started, it’s 1.5 inches lower. Slept in it for not even a month and you could already feel the springs in your back also has dips. My husband and I are under 200lbs. I wake up with back pain. Tried to return it, customer service said to box it back up and take it to UPS… HOW? Said they get back to me. After 3 calls they never did, I gave up. $800 wasted on a crappy, uncomfortable mattress.
