We originally bought one of these close to 5 years ago for our French bulldog puppy. After all these years, the thing still serves as his little dog cave. We recently just got another Frenchie and bought this same kennel for him. Both of them love them and use them as their little caves. An appropriately sized bed works well inside. There is a convenient zip up door on the front that can be rolled up so that it remains open. There is also a zip door on the top for easy access from the top. These are not carriers but collapsible kennels. When traveling, we use these for them in the car to keep them from roaming round in a safe spot. However, we do to ever collapse them, so I can not speak to the ability of this kennel for that, but it looks pretty easy. Highly recommend if you have a smaller dog. ... show more

I love this item. We use it to put our dogs in the car. However, if buying for the car, before buying, make sure you measure the car opening. I have to open the crate while in the car. The crate is too big to fit through the back opening of my SUV.

We were looking for a crate for our dog that wasn’t metal. The soft crate is a little less intimidating. We got a medium for our corgi which is plenty of space. We were hoping to use in the car but it’s not really built for the car as it doesn’t have many places to place hooks. We did drive once without securing the crate and it slid around a bit. It’s a very nice crate if it’s stationary but doesn’t include appropriate latches/hooks to use in a car safely.set up is super easy. We love this dog kennel for our 16lb Jack Russel. We purchased the small and she has more than enough room inside along with a pillow and blanket. Please note if you have a aggressive chewer or anxious dog, they will chew through the mesh that's on all sides of the kennel. When she's upset we use thick cardboard to cover the door on the inside and she doesn't bother the rest of the mesh on the sides and top. If we didn't use the cardboard she would start tearing and chewing the mesh out of frustration. It folds easy and very easy to clean. ... show more

I adopted a puppy a couple of days ago. I have a wire crate in the bedroom that she sleeps in at night. During the day I found that she liked to get under small places, like under the recliner, or under the coffee table. So I decided to get this so that she would have a little cave of her own to get into for the living room. I also got a thick Memory Foam bed for it as there is absolutely no padding in the bottom, and the zipper opening at the bottom is quite high. So now the bed I put inside is level with the bottom entrance. She definitely likes it, and often goes in and lies down. However, I would not suggest using this if you need to keep someone closed in, who will try in any way to get out. For example if I close this up, she gets upset because she can't get out and gets her paws up on the mesh and starts scratching at it. I opened it up, but I have no doubt that had I kept it shut she would have ruined the mesh flap in a matter of minutes. And certainly if I left her home and closed in it she would probably destroy it, and she is only 5 lb. But, I am just using it for her to have a space to go in and out, not to keep her confined, and for that it works perfectly. The only thing I wish is that it had another zipper opening on the wide side so that you could turn it the other way if you chose to. ... show more

We have a kennel trained dog but needed a light weight kennel for our RV...and it fits under the dinette (ish). I just wish it didn't have the mesh label on the front actually. He had some anxiety after our other dog passed away and tore through the mesh. I sewed it closed....and a week later he did it again. I think if it wasn't mesh and was the canvas on front it would have held him in. He still sleeps in it at night with the front open so we still use it every day ... show more

I travel a lot w/my dog & need to put her in a kennel at night. Taking the wire one or the huge airline crates takes up too much room. This is easy to set up, easy to fold, takes up very little space & is light weight. It’s smaller than my dog’s regular kennel, but she went right in it w/no issues.
