  • Nice roomy kennel for extra large/giant dog breeds
Color: Black Size: 54.0"L x 37.0"W x 45.0"H
Make sure you have plenty of room for this dog kennel, taking the measurements before you buy it is one thing, actually seeing it put together inside of the house is quite another! Our 3.5 month old great dane puppy was starting to look a bit cramped in an older 36" kennel we had. She still fit but looked very uncomfortable when she tried to stretch out and stand up. She looks so much more comfortable and has plenty of room to grow in this kennel. I read all of the horror stories about the condition people received their kennels in due to the size and weight so I was worried we would receive ours damaged too. Ours actually arrived in pretty good condition. The UPS man moved it around with a dolly and my husband wrestled it into the house. The box is huge and the kennel is very heavy. We sliced open the side and slid the kennel out. Everything is held together with white zip ties. A few of the panels were stuck together, but they were easy enough to unhook the side hooks from where they attached themselves. Putting this together was a bit of a chore, not because it was hard, but because it was big and bulky and there were two of us that insisted we knew what we were doing, so we argued over which way the panels should face, put them upside down a couple of times, then had to re-do them. This does come with a set of directions, but some of the pictures weren't really that clear. The picture on the outside of the box actually gives you a better idea on how this all fits together. There were a couple of places where the wires were bent and we had to straighten them out with a pair of pliers. Also one of the side wires had a broken weld where it connects at the top, it was next to one of the bent hooks (corner area) so it had probably been set down a bit too hard at some point during shipping. It doesn't seem like it will affect the kennel, and it doesn't show so I'm not going to worry about it. I'm not too pleased about the side door of this kennel though. The top slide bolt latch did not slide into the holder that was welded onto the side. The holder had been welded a tiny bit too low (quality control should have checked this), we had to bend the tip of the sliding pin down a little so it would be able to slide into the latch. The side door also seems a little stiff to open and close, as if it is misaligned. We can still open and close the door though, and once shut it is very secure. There were also a few areas we had to straighten out so the drop pins could connect the corners. Once this is put together it really is very sturdy. It is not flimsy at all, we are actually pleased at how sturdy this kennel looks and feels. The bottom pan slides in and out smoothly, and I won't worry about our dog spending time in the kennel while we are gone, or during the night. She loves the extra room and until she finishes growing she has plenty of room inside to sprawl out and play with all of her toys. The problem areas we found when this kennel first arrived were easy fixes, the completed kennel is large and strong. I checked around before I purchased this kennel and the price here was so much more reasonable than anywhere else, plus you get free delivery right to your house. If you have the room, and you have one of the giant breed dogs, then this kennel will be perfect. *Update 7/31/16- at 5.5 months old now our dane puppy is still growing. There is plenty of room in this kennel for her, her jumbo round Costco bed, and a stack of toys. She loves her crate! Our Aussie and the cats also love going inside to relax. Giant puppies can make giant messes, this crate is the perfect size for her and we are so happy that there is plenty of room inside for her to grow. No worries about her eating the couch while we are gone! ... show more

  • Giant breed kennel!
Color: Black Size: 54.0"L x 37.0"W x 45.0"H
This is well built and huge! We have English Mastiff's and want them to be comfortable while we are gone. He can romp around and chase his tail in this! We use toddler/crib mattresses for our dogs and it fits in this perfectly! Yes, please make note of the size because a crib mattress easily fits! So look at your space and ask yourself if you could set up a crib there before buying. This is very tall as well. It went together well but not without help. Two people are required unless your an octopus. The box is heavy and required two people to unload from the truck it was delivered in. I was anxious to build it so it took myself and two middle school boys to get it up our 5 deck steps. Did I mention it's huge!😂 With help building it was pretty straightforward and only took 15 minutes. All that said you will need a very large space to build this. The side panels have to hook in while it's laying flat and then they pop in place to stand up. So whatever room you plan on setting it up in has to have space to build it in. Think moving the couches out of the way for this one! Because it's not a collapse and fold. We think it's great and our giant love's it. We have two giant goobers and they both like to lay in their throughout the day. However, I don't think I'd let them be in there together while we're gone. It's big but I think they'd get tangled up and be uncomfortable. If you have a Giant and a smaller breed you'd like to bunk together. That would totally be doable in this. It's a five star for us and could be for you assuming you understand what you're buying! ... show more

  • Perfect for our St. Bernard
Color: Black Size: 53.8"L x 36.0"W x 45.0"H
Our St. bernard is 1 1/2 years old and gets alittle anxiety when I have to go outside to the barn for awhile, or if we want to go away for a couple of hours, we know he won't get into trouble being so young. The size is perfect for him and there is room for him to grow. Appears to be made well. Our grandson who is 24 put it together by himself and said it wasn't too bad. It is a 2 person job, as I was there to hold the panels in place while he attached them. I found out not to make our dog too comfy and there with a dog bed. he got bored and made two big holes in it. Now we only keep the toys in there, and it is easy to clean. I do not think it folds up, but that is not what we would do. ... show more

  • Terrible shipping but excellent crate.
Color: Black Size: 54.0"L x 37.0"W x 45.0"H
This is the second crate I ordered in this size(xxl). The first one arrived with no directions and was bent in 7 places. It was obviously a return that was sent back out without inspection. This second crate I received came early (yay) but box was torn on all corners with styrofoam exposed along the sides and corners. Horrible shipping care. Amazon should either package this better or find better workers with better work ethics. Ugh! The crate inside the box had one slight bend in it which fortunately did not impact the assembly. The directions were excellent and it was easy to assemble … whew! Now my pooch has plenty of room to move around and space as he continues to grow. I went with a larger crate because I wanted him to have more room rather than just enough. You can see in the pictures how he was outgrowing his large crate. He’s a golden doodle, weighs 51 lbs right now and is still gaining if that gives an idea of his size. The crate gets 5 stars the shipper gets 2, hmm maybe just one! 😡 One last note… my sweetie is described as an aggressive chewer and destroyed the tray in the smaller crate which is why the black tray in the smaller crate isn’t in the picture. I replaced it with a K9 Ballistics Chew Proof pad with metal sides and it was worth every penny. It’s indestructible!!! I highly recommend it and cannot say enough nice things about it. Plus he seems to be more comfortable me on it. ... show more
