I have had many different motion lamps over the years because none of them last forever. After trying another brand (not mentioning the name), it failed and stopped working as a motion sensor....it only worked from dusk to dawn. This one however, worked great, sensing motion correctly. The only issue I had was that it didn't stay on very long once it sensed the motion. A quick question that I submitted to Amazon about how to adjust the timer on it, got me a quick response from another Amazon customer (THANK YOU - please see the answer in that section), and it worked exactly as I wanted..... It is light, so it is easy to put up, and anyone with minimal dexterity can get it just right.....cautions about working around electricity applies, but in my case, I just turned the light switch off and took the old one down and put this one up in 5 minutes tops.....then turned the light switch back on and it worked.
