This was my first purchase of anything branded Amazon Basics. This Amazon Basics Outdoor Textilene Adjustable Zero Gravity Folding Reclining Lounge Chair is really comfortable. I saved money on this by purchasing through Amazon Warehouse. The chair frame is sturdy and adjusts smoothly. The chair fabric is soft and breathable. This chair has double lacing which I prefer. I hauled it up to the top of a mountain ridge with a sports drink and a good book and promptly fell asleep in it. This chair is comfortable for both my petite 4'10" frame and my husband's sturdy 5'11" frame. This is a well made chair and a good value. The quality is on par with similar chairs we purchased from Cabella's a few years ago. This was a good purchase. I'll be buying more of these Amazon Basics chairs. ... show more

It depends on what you want this chair for. Beach? For me, it would be much too heavy to shlep around a beach. But as the closest beach to my desert city is 250 miles away in Mexico – the closest American beach is in San Diego, 400 miles away – that is not my problem. Stretching out for a 2-hour nap in the sun? Several reviewers have warned that this chair is not stable when stretched out, but as 2 hours in the Arizona sun would burn me to a crisp, that too is not my problem. So, what do I use it for? For basking in our main resource, an unobstructed exposure to the sun in our backyard, for 20 minutes at a time. I keep the seat in its upright position – which, by the way, is not very upright – and tighten the knobs to keep it that way. I don’t use the head rest, which slips easily on and off. As such, it’s very comfortable and entirely stable. As for longevity, which some reviewers have complained about, I’ve only had it for a few days, so that remains to be seen. So far, there is no sign of any wear on grommets or seams. Of course I hope it lasts for a long time – though at my age, forever more, as they say, is shorter than before. But let me put this in context. Before the pandemic, I got regular therapeutic massages for my chronic back pain; around once every other week. No insurance will pay for such a regimen, not even with a doctor’s prescription. (I had my physiatrist’s prescription, but that’s only good for one, or at most two, courses of treatments.) Since the start of the pandemic, I have had no massages at all, and don’t intend to get any until herd immunity is attained. But 20 minutes in the Arizona sun seems to help, and this chair costs exactly what one therapeutic massage costs. So if it lasts for 6 months, I will be way ahead on costs. So, as I said at the outset, the value of this chair depends largely on what you want to do with it. For my purposes, it’s ideal – and I got it in a single day, perfectly packed without a hint of damage anywhere. Hence my 5 stars. ... show more

I have back problems and was looking for a zero gravity chair. The mesh material is very comfortable and feels like there is no resistant impact on my back or bottom. But the seat pan is too deep/long for me ( about 20") since I am shorter. If I am able to bend my knee in sitting position, then my back does not touch/rest on the back of chair. If I rest my back on the back of chair, my knees are uncomfortable since I am unable to bend my knees. I am about 5'3 and need to place the headrest pillow in the arch of the lumbar area as well as an additional pillow in order to fit better in this chair making seat pan area more shorter. The recliner works well and the angles are comfortable. I noticed when you sit upright in the chair that your bottom is lower than your knees. So getting out of the chair can be a challenge for some. Overall it is comfortable. I have to make my adjustments with pillows. I put this inside my house to sit and lounge. ... show more

We bought one for Father’s Day for my husband and went back and bought another one because he always had to fight with us to use it. It’s well-made, comfortable, and nice looking. One of the less expensive options of this type of chair, this is a great buy.

I have now had this product for a little over a month. Used it 6 times. It arrived intact and as described. Seemed to be reasonably sturdy. I liked the design and the color of the material (tan). I am slim at 5'9-168 so the width of the chair was fine for me. Not hard to open up. Definitely kind of heavy for lugging to the beach unless you have a cart. For me I have been able to balance the position I want to lay in without having to use the position lock. I have used it to lay out on the deck to sunbathe. VERY comfortable! The only criticisms I have are the plastic arms which are a little uncomfortable especially when you sweat (easily solved by draping a beach towel over the arms) and the footrest which is a little hard for bare feet but hey, nothing is perfect. Overall very satisfied with the product so far. Of course time will tell if it lasts. We will see. ... show more
