  • Love this game
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
This game is awesome! It has a lot of the older COD action, but with improvements to the gear that the character has. Items such as grip boots that allow the character to run on walls, super cool jumping ability and realistic weapons. What I find most refreshing is the realism that this game brings to the gaming scene. If you place a well aimed shot, the bad guy goes down. As opposed to a recent Clancy game that required a full clip, or two, to the face of a hoodie wearing bad guy and maybe he would drop, which is absurd. This game provides the realism that is sought out in games. ... show more

  • Great game, great price but not so great install time
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
This was a gift for my daughter to go with her new PC and she loves it. The fact that it included a free DLC map along with the game for only 48$ is a steal. The game retails for 60$ usually, but I can always count on Amazon for great prices. The game itself, however, did take about 6 hours to download and fully install. Those times may vary depending on your internet speeds and whatnot but if you're planning on installing the game onto your system, be prepared for a large file download. ... show more

  • I like these game
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I like these game. I haven't really played any COD games so this one is pretty much my first. I'm also generally terrible at it but I still like it. The dialogue in the campaign in my biggest problem with the game. It's pretty cliche and lame. The humor is bland in a lot of places when they try to be funny. If this is your first COD game I say go for it! Especially if you have other friends getting it. If you have played a million COD games before I understand that this game is nothing special and probably a waste of money. I bought the PC version on sale. ... show more

  • Dissapointing. Don't waste your time or money.
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
I was very disappointed with this latest Call of Duty title for the PC. I have been playing Call of Duty since the original on the PC, and then later moved to consoles with Modern Warfare, and moved back to the PC with Black Ops II. The only title in the series I've skipped has been Ghosts. As far as game play goes, it's about the same as it has been since Modern Warfare 2, mostly arcade style run & gun with most players running off lone wolf style. That's pretty much just the CoD style anymore, so I'll just leave it at that and not launch into a tirade about whether I like or dislike it. Anyone who has played CoD in recent years (especially Advanced Warfare) can expect more of the same with a few minor changes here and there. The game play isn't why the game gets such a bad rating from me though, the problem is the net-code. The constant lag and rubber-banding makes it a terrible experience. I've read that there is also a lot of cheating on the PC, but I can't comment on that because I never experienced a smooth, normal game. The issue isn't with my PC or my connection either. I have a 75 Mbps connection and have an i5 [email protected] and GTX 980Ti, in my system. I can play BF4 online and it runs smooth as glass. I recently received CoD Blops III for PS4 as a gift, and have to say it runs great on the console. If I had to guess, I would have to say that it's just another lousy port to the PC which is disappointing as usual. If you're on the fence about trying Call of Duty Black Ops III, the console versions may be worth a try if you can pick it up on sale, but don't bother with the PC version as the developer didn't put nearly enough time into it to deserve any of your money. ... show more

  • If you liked Black Ops II you'll like this one
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
There have been a lot of Mixed/Negative reviews on Steam regarding this game. Pros: It's the next Black Ops game. If you liked Black Ops II you'll like this one. Cons: Folks with souped up systems not getting the benefit hearing peeps not getting their optimized results. I myself am stuck with a 720p TV and a High End PC (Geforce GTX 960 2 GB DDR3) 16 GB of RAM (DDR3) Quad Core AMD. I'm happy to get 60 FPS . When I first got this game over the holidays 2015 was getting 80-90 ping.. now a days 100-110. They've gone the wrong direction in their netcoding it seems :> or my Internet is out of date. Probably a bit from column A and a bit from Column B. Point is it's not bad of a game. Actually has 5 mini games wrapped into one (folks on the 360 miss out on the campaign stuff only get multiplayer). Plenty of addons to make a season pass worth it although I went ala carte. ... show more

  • Looking for a straight FPS with no believable content...
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
Sigh, COD used to be good. It was based on believable storylines. Black Ops spin off has ruined this. Each title has new characters, there is no lead on or continuity between releases and they are basically just spewing out crap to get your $$$'s. MW at least had a story line with Price, Soap and Roach to name a few. Black Ops relies on it's per release story line which, for a sequel just leaves the entire thing lacking. You can't get into the characters because you KNOW they will not be in the next release -so why bother. Black Ops three seems less about actual black ops warfare and more like they tried to combine Hard Reset, Hard Life and a little bit of Black Ops 2 into one title. Then again, giving Activation's team full control over what WAS a terrific franchise - and you get crap like this. My opinion, save your money for the next Modern Warfare Release. This is more a black mark than a black ops game. ... show more

  • A Good Game, First COD Can't Play on PS3
Platform For Display: PC Edition: Standard
My first PC game on current PC. Have been doing FPS on PS3. (Loved Doom back in the day. The Doom experience made buying a $5,500 486 computer worth it.) Call of Duty is great. Have to restrain myself using keyboard, customizing keys, and all of that.
