Awesome lights for the backyard. Great price when I bought them in March 2018, about $33. Better than Lowes and Homedepot. They have the same lights but they sell them for about $50. 14 gauge wire, with male and female ends to plug in several strings. Basically a 48 foot extension cord with lights. They are the standard e26 socket so if you want to change to different styles of bulbs later you can. I have the s40 bulbs and I love them. Easy to get replacements. Well packaged, highly recommend if you want to add lights to your outdoor environment. We put up three strings in our back patio. I bought a staple gun that has the curved staples to attach to the patio frame. Now we are going to but them along our fence line. I will update and upload photos of that project as soon as I attach them.

Read description carefully. You may think you are getting the equivalent of the Feit 48' string but you aren't. This set has only 15 sockets about 3' apart. The Feit 48' strings have 24 sockets 2' apart.

So far so good. As mentioned by other reviewers, this light kit is heavy duty and well-constructed. The cables are thick, the plugs are solid, and the bulb sockets have a clean, brass finish. I installed two 50’ strands and plan to add at least two more. The bulbs are three feet apart and initially that seemed a bit sparse but after installing, I think the coverage is fine. In my case the average height of the strands above the outdoor patio is about nine to ten feet. Although not needed with this light kit, I chose to first install a suspension cable system – something I highly recommend. By installing the cable system, I could tension the wire rope which helped with reducing ‘sag’ in the light string. The cable system also made it easier to manage the 50’ light string when mounting w/zip ties and installing the bulbs. Overall the lights look great and seem to be holding up to wind and rain.

We could not be happier with these lights! Easy to put up as everyone has said (we got the wire and strung it first, and then used small black zip ties to attach), and they look FABULOUS! They aren't as bright as they look in the attached photo, they're a nice soft "evening" color. No need to worry about that awful fluorescent or "blue" LED look. And you can decide how close or far apart (up to 36" or so) you want them. They look and feel really durable (only time will tell) and everything worked for us. We got the remote switch and highly recommend it - hung it by the back door and it's like having a switched light for the patio lights!

These are so fun and add so much personality to your yard. We specifically wanted to light up the yard itself so we hung the lights up using our fence posts (no nails necessary). We started off with zip tying the lights to our gazebo and then strung them along the fence the rest of the way. They've already proved they work through the rain, they are tough, bright and festive.

The bees built a hive in the porch ceiling disabling my center porch light. Then birds built a nest in the porch light on the wall causing the wire to arc. The porch was rendered pitch black, a whole new meaning to the birds and the bees! I always come home from work in the dark. My son, who is visually impaired does too. Now, we can see to get in the house and since we live in Wild Kingdom, I no longer worry about the deer, wild turkeys, cats, racoons, groundhogs, possums, skunk and fox that may be lurking on my porch.

These are incandescent, so the bulbs will not last forever, but considering this is an occasional-use item for us, that's not a big deal. We have them mounted on our wind-out awning that covers our patio. Perfect length to go down one arm of the awning, across the front of it, and then up the other arm. Awning is roughly 13x22 when wound out. There is a mounting hole on the string for each light. I ran some small self-tapping screws right through that hole and into my awning hardware to hold it up, and I used some zipties as well. The lights look great, cast a warm glow, and are very nice for when get-togethers on the back patio go beyond sundown. I can't see any reason not to recommend these lights.

These lights, much like everything by AmazonBasics, are great quality at a fraction of the cost that the competitors are selling them for. I bought three sets to hang over my back yard and they are awesome. I've only had them for a few months, so we'll see how the bulbs hold up, but they are great so far. I suggest getting a guide wire to hold them up, as they will sage otherwise due to their weight.
